Butler (+4) over Florida
Teams that win 3 straight games as underdogs are not generally good bets in their next game (95-136-3 ATS), but we’re talking about Butler here. The Bulldogs are now 31-7-1 ATS in non-conference games from -1 to dog (-1, pick or underdog) and teams that win their round 3 game as an underdog of 4 points or more are 15-3 ATS in round 4 (1-0 after 3 dog wins in a row). My ratings favor Florida by just 2 ½ points (with a total of 129 ½ points) and I’ll lean with Butler at +3 points or more.

Arizona (+2 ½) over Connecticut
Arizona is coming off perhaps the most impressive game by any team in this tournament, a 93-77 win as a 9 ½ point dog against #1 seeded Duke in which the Wildcats made 54% of their shots and dominated the boards. Normally a team might letdown after such a good effort, but teams seeded #4 or higher, and lower seeded than their current opponent, are 15-6 ATS after beating a #1 seed and Butler just won in that same situation on Thursday after knocking off Pitt. Also, teams that win as an underdog of 4 points or more in the Sweet 16 are 15-3 ATS in their Elite 8 game, so Arizona’s good play should carry over to today. My ratings favor U Conn by 2 ½ points, so the line is fair, and I’ll consider Arizona a Strong Opinion at +2 or more.
