4* Tigers (907) at Orioles: Despite a rough opening weekend in the Bronx, I like this Detroit Tiger team. They were only 81-81 a year ago, but had a lot of talent and balance. They should have been much better and I see a bounce back season. Starter Ricky Porcello showed improvement in his K-rate with 15 strikeouts in 22.1 innings and at age 22, there's still plenty of upside with Porcello. It got so bad for Porcello last year that he was sent back to the minors, but he righted the ship when he returned. He posted a 4.00 ERA, a 1.16 WHIP and a strikeout-to-walk ratio of better than 3-to-1 in 14 starts after the break. He faces a bad Baltimore team. I don't care for Orioles starter Jake Arrieta, who struggled in spring training to keep runners from crossing the plate (5.79 ERA). He was shut down last September due to a bone spur in his elbow. Play the Tigers!

      WUNDERDOG (MLB)

Game: Detroit at Baltimore (3:05 PM Eastern)
      Pick: Detroit +115 (moneyline)

The Baltimore Orioles are off to a surprising 3-0 start, and I think it has the oddsmakers a bit overzealous here for their game vs. the Tigers. The Orioles held the Tampa Bay Rays to 1 run in each of their three games, and will go with Jake Arrieta today. Arrieta pitched to a 4.66 ERA in his rookie season last year, but he gets in trouble with command, walking 48 in 106 innings. The Tigers counter with Ricky Portello who had a strong rookie campaign, but struggled some a year ago. The Orioles are just 17-36 following a game allowing 2 runs or less and the Tigers have won six of Porcello's last seven starts.
      Detroit wins this one.

NATIONAL TITLE GAME MUST WIN PARLAY!

        2* Butler / U Conn UNDER

Much like U Conn's semifinal, this is a battle of two teams that are here based on great, great defensive play this season. Yes, Kemba Walker. Matt Howard,
Jeremy Lamb, and Shelvin Mack can and do score, but these are teams that are here because they can lock down foes, and we look for a great defensive game here tonite. The Huskies have allowed 52-58-67-63-55 in five NCAA Tournament games this season, and Butler has allowed 61-65-63-51-62-52-56-68-44-58-70-54-71(OT)-62 in their current 14 game winning streak and in the Big Dance last season allowed 59-52-59-56-50-61 points. One of these teams will prove the adage that defense wins championships! We look for a 63-61 type final here, and as such the Under is the play.

        2* Butler (+) over U Conn

You can see the projection above is for a close, defensive game, and in cases like that we prefer the underdogs. Also, cannot discount that a majority of Butler's team played in this national title game last season, and that experience should also be key. It should be a great game, and we will take the
        points.

          GC MLB Play- Monday

Monday Double Perfect NCAAB Championship Power Play + MLB Early 27-4 totals system with subset that averages 14.3 runs per game. MLB Cashes Sunday. MLB off 3-0 Start. Free MLB Live dog play below

On Monday the MLB Free Play is the Seattle Mariners here. What we want to do is plays against home favorites like Texas that won as a home dog and scored 5 or more runs if they are taking on an opponent off a road dog loss and they scored 2 or less runs and the total was 8 or less. These Home favorites have lost outright over 70% of the time the last 7 years. Texas is off to a flying start. However Seattle did well taking 2 of 3 in Oakland. The Mariners have E. Bedard on the mound and he has a decent 4-2 record with a 3.12 era vs Texas. The Rangers counter with Lefty Holland. He did not do well in his last start here vs Seattle allowing 5 earned runs in 6 innings. Look for Seattle to surprise Texas here as a +140 dog. On Monday I have a Big Afternoon totals system that has cashed 27 of 31 times and has a subset that averages 14.3 runs per game in play. I also have the NCAAB Championship Winner out of 2 Perfect scenarios. MLB off to a solid 3-0 start. . For the free Play take the Mariners. RV

                    4* Brewers RL -1.5/+190
Taking the Brewers here. You can go half RL half ML. I think the Braves are a solid club, but this is just Beachy's 4th career start. He looked good last year, 15 innings, 16 hits, 15 Ks. I still think Milwaukee and the Reds battle for the Central, and the Brew Crew must get wins from the tail end of their rotation. After getting swept in Cincy, Brewers need some home cooking to get themselves on track. 4* BREWERS RL

                    4* Mariners +146
Taking Seattle here. Texas riding high after sweeping the Red Sox, letting the league now that last year's American League Champs are not to be cast aside just yet. That being said, that was a big series for the Rangers. Even opening in April, they had to have a chip on their shoulder going against the team who is the new World Series frontrunner. Bedard looked good in spring posting a 3.15 ERA. Off a 2-1 series win in Oakland, Seattle may catch Texas coming down off of a high and steal game 1. 4* SEATTLE MARINERS

                    4* Pirates + 138
Taking Pittsburgh here. Another case of a nice dog. Pirates took 2 of 3 from the Cubbies and now face STL who dropped 2 of 3 to the Padres. Pirates always have nothing to prove and just come out and have fun. And in STL, you might be seeing the makings of a terrible season. I can't trust this lineup. There is no protect for Albert. And I am not betting on Lohse to toss 8 scoreless. Pirates have some young bats and their players are hungry to make a name for themselves. 4* PIRATES

                    4* Butler ML +151
Taking the Bulldogs here on the ML. Closing out what has been a less than stellar CBB season. Over 50 close losses. Losses of a half point to 4 points. It's clear I have had some problems being on the right side of these games. Most cappers don't tell you when they struggle. I've had a rough year. We will look to go out on top here Monday night. Butler has really come on strong late. I like their physical defense and the fact that they have not quit. They keep coming back. They look like they are done, get some defensive stops, and next thing you know a 8 point deficit is a 6 point lead. Can't really knock UCONN at this point. What a hell of a run they have had. Fact is though, Butler is back and they won't be intimated. I think Duke was head and shoulders better than this Huskies team. I normally don't compare like that, but this is almost the same Butler team. They play defense, hit FTs and hit 3s. You can go half with the points or all with points. I will take the full 4* on the ML. 4* BUTLER BULLDOGS
