On Tuesday the Free MLB System Play is on the Houston Astros. Game 910 at 8:05 eastern. Last night we pegged the Cubs as our free play in game 1 of this series and came away a winner with a 5-4 win. That result leads us to another nice system that plays against the Cubs here. We want to play against certain road dogs off a road favored win by 1 run if they scored 5 or more runs and their opponent scored 4 or less runs at home and had 5 or more men left on base. This system has cashed 18 of 23 times if you play on the home team. Even better if we make the line for these road dogs less than 140 which is what we always want to do, not having to lay too much. The system pops to a solid 4-14 playing against these road teams. See they system included below. The Cubs have left hander James Russel a converted reliever making his first start here tonight. He was a 14th round selection in the 2007 draft and the sone of former major leaguer Jeff Russel. He was up and down last year with the Cubs and tonight he will oppose Houston starter B. Myers. In his his starts vs the Cubs Myers has been superb with a 11-2 team start record and solid 2.03 era. Last year he was lights out against them allowing just 2 earned runs in 23 innings. Houston is off to a rough start. However the line is reasonable and this looks like a good sport for them to get a win. Take Houston. On Tuesday I have 3 solid Plays. The Lead play is a 16-0 Late season Tier 1 Power system side. The MLB is fro a Diamond Cutter system that wins by Over 4 runs per game. Last night NBA Split out. The Memphis Grizzlies have emerged as a team that many will not want to meet in the playoffs. The Grizzlies are 27-12 in their last 39 games, and the defense keeps showing up with eight of their last 11 UNDER the total. Portland likes playing in the half court and they have struggled a bit offensively of late and their last three have failed to reach the total. The Blazers have had three days off and they have come back from this elongated rest to play to a 32-15-1 mark to the UNDER. These clubs have always played grind-it-out, half-court games in Portland with the last 15 showing just three topping the total.

The Vancouver Canucks had a great year, and they will be the first team to get a shot at the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks. While Chicago did not have the type of season they did a year ago, there is an old expression... Never underestimate the heart of a champion. I think that the oddsmakers have done just that here. The Blackhawks have been at their best on the road vs. top teams. They are 21-10 in their last 31 when facing a team that has a better than .600 winning percentage at home. Since last season, the Blackhawks are 12-5 on the road vs. teams that outscore their opponents by 0.5+ goals per game. Chicago is no stranger to winning in Vancouver as they have won four of the last five played here.
I like Chicago's chances of taking the opener and I really like them at 1.5 to 1 odds.

Taking Texas here. Tough to go against Rangers as they continue to win. We get their ace, CJ Wilson, laying a short number vs Brad Penny. Come on man. Brad Penny. This is your #2. And people thought the Tigers would compete because they signed V-Mart? Tigers pitching is awful, and this Rangers lineup is lethal from top to bottom. The drop off in pitching after Verlander is as steep as a cliff. Penny will go 5 and give up 6 here. Tigers lineup is paper thin after Cabrera. 4* TEXAS RANGERS

Taking Brett Meyers and the 'stros here. Meyers 12-1 in his last 13 starts at home. Myers is 8-0 with a 2.12 ERA in his last nine starts against the Cubs. Meyers pitching well with 2 NDs as he has given up just 3 earned on the road to the Phillies and Reds. Too pretty good hitters parks with some offenses that generate runs. For the Cubs, we have a journeyman middle reliever making a start. Plus, the coach tells us he is on a pitch count. Not like Chicago is running out HOF caliber, or even all-star guys in middle relief. Look for the Astros to punch through this soft staff of middle relievers and bring us the money. 10* HOUSTON ASTROS
