I am on a 6-0 run on my NHL premium selections released here for free. Here are my selections for tonight's action:
Another outstanding night on the ice last night as I went 4-0 for a profit of 11.21 units. Tonight is a very light board as there are only two games on the docket but I have three plays for this evening anyway and they are as follows:
Dallas/Chicago Under 5 1/2 +1.04 (3 Unit Play)-It appears that the Stars will turn back to Marty Turco for tonight's contest after Tobias Stephan turned in a great performance on Wednesday against the Wild. Turco has struggled this year so far but I look for him to get back to the form that we are used to soon and should start this evening. The Black Hawks will likely start Khabibulin in net this evening and he has been very good at home so far this year stopping 91 out of 97 shots for a 93.8% save percentage. These two clubs have matched up 20 times since 1996 in Chicago and the Under has cashed 14 out of 20 times and in fact over the past three seasons the Under has cashed in four out of four times. I am getting plus money on this total and I will gladly buy and recommend playing this game Under tonight.
Anaheim -1.57 (1.5 Unit Play)
Anaheim -1 1/2 Goals +1.73 (1.5 Unit Play)-For those of you that followed me during baseball season you know that my handicapping style is to never lay more than -1.30 and if you feel that you have to to split the bet up between the money line and the run line and my approach in hockey is no different. I am not a fan of laying 1 1/2 goals in hockey as many games land on one but that is what I am recommending in this game tonight. Vancouver is off of a 4-0 win last night against Los Angeles but have not been performing very well defensively so far as last night was the first time in 9 games that they went Under the total. Anaheim meanwhile has turned their season around winning five straight games but they have still only been winning by a goal lately and I feel they are primed for a big performance against the Canucks this evening. Anaheim dropped three out of four contests to Vancouver last year and I am sure they will remember that and I look for a three goal victory from them this evening.

5-Unit Play – NBA Game of the Month – Take Miami -6 Over Sacramento (7:30 PM EST, Friday)
The Heat had to get away from what they wanted to do offensively and defensively in Game 1 against the Knicks after succumbing to their new run-and-gun style and falling in a huge early hole. We did like the way they rallied from 23 down late in the game and we think they will get a big win tonight in their home opener. This team should be much improved this season and we expect the Kings to be one of the league’s worst. We love that this number is under 7, which is a key number in the NBA since the opposing team will usually continue to foul, even in the final seconds, when the game is close. When it is seven or above the other team usually dribbles it out. Sacramento showed their lack of a killer instinct in their opener against Minnesota in a game they could have won. The Kings will also likely be terrible on the road this year just as they were last year.Comment

(BUY the 1/2 to -7...if you are able to get 7.5 now...I will adjust the Posted Number if the Concensus moves to 7.5 like it appears many may still do, looking at CRIS, PINNY, & GREEK)
For starters, this is a situation that I would usually be Buying the 1/2 Point and taking it down to -7...But because I have been made aware that the Outfits have a "Buy Order" which may be going out on the Sixers some time this afternoon...I fear that the books may be forced to adjust, which would make taking it to -7 difficult for the majority of my players...But with that said, for those who are able to get 7.5 and see this play early...I highly recommend going ahead and laying the 10cents because it is definately around what I consider to be a "Key" NBA number...
The other night, we opened up the Season with a 4* GOM on the Knicks...and it was a spot where I felt "public perception" was allowing us to get the best of the number...Well, that very same "public perception" is giving us that very same opportunity Tonight...
The Knicks were flying high for their home opener which is why they were able to get out to such a big lead early on...But now they have to take it on the road, and are facing a Sixers team who came out extremely flat in their Opener, and will definately be looking to jump all over the Knicks...
The Sixers are not only the kind of team who will be able to handle D'Antonio's style of ball which he has brought to NY...but more importantly, their obvious edge defensively should be the difference maker...
I made this number 10.5, and my projected final shows the Sixers should be able to get out ahead, and stay there while making an ez night of it...and eventually getting the Home-Win in blow-out fashion...Fortunately for us, the oddsmakers have sent this one out at single digits, so the blow-out won't even be neccessary for us to get the cover...
So let's go ahead and back the Sixers, as they look to even their record to 1-1 against a team in their division...and lay the points as our NBA 3* GAME OF THE WEEK...VRComment
