        100% HUGE PITCHING MISMATCH MASSACRE!
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Chicago White Sox over the Kansas City Royals. Kansas City righthander Kyle Davies has only had two seasons - out of six - heading into 2011 where he's had winning records and judging from his results in the first half, he will not have one this year either. Davies finished the first half with a dismal record of 1-8 in 11 starts, and his ERA of 7.74 is one of the worst of any starter in the Majors. Things could go from bad to worse for Davies as his first start of the second half will be against the Sox and southpaw Mark Buehrle, who has been a Royals-killer throughout his long and distinguished career. Buehrle's 21 lifetime victories against the Royals (to go with 11 losses) are bested only by the 25 wins he's recorded against the Twins. The veteran lefthander is having another strong season with a 6-5 record and 3.42 ERA through his first 18 outings and he has a 2.05 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in his last three starts and although he has no record during that time, the White Sox are 3-0. The Sox won their first series of the second half and they should be looking forward to hopefully turning things around in the weeks ahead as they are finally almost 100% healthy on the offensive side of the ball. The White Sox are 4-0 in Buehle's last four starts vs. the Royals, going back, to July 9 of last year. Take Chicago. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. And don't miss any of my 4 Baseball Winners on Monday. Of course, the best way to get all of our award winning plays is to join for a week or a month.

AWESOME MONDAY MLB HIGH ROLLER WINNER!
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the New York Mets over the Florda Marlins. The Marlins have announced they will be handing the ball to righthander Clay Hensley who last started a Major League game on July 24, 2008 when he was a member of the San Diego Padres. Hensley has been a Marlin since signing as a free agent in December 2009, and he has been used exclusively in relief for this team, but hey why not add his name to the growing list of Florida starters for 2011? The only problem is that Hensley hasn't even made an appearance since June 1, so asking him to make a start on the road in his first game back in almost two months is a tall order. Southpaw Chris Capuano will go to the hill to make his 18th start of the season for the Mets (he also has one relief appearance) and Capuano can certainly understand how Hensley feels tonight getting his first start in almost three years as Capuano was in almost the exact same situation last season as a member of the Brewers. Capuano is a good example of how starters can come back successfully from long layoffs, but he'll be the first to tell you that it takes a while to build that arm strength back up. Hensley will likely find that out the hard way. Take the Mets. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

        75% MONDAY BASEBALL TOTALS S*M*A*S*H!
At 8:40 pm, our selection is on the Atlanta Braves and Colorado Rockies 'over' the total. The two righthanded starters in this game tonight, Atlanta's Derek Lowe and Colorado's Jason Hammel have almost identical first-half statistics, which is not necessarily a good thing for either of them. Lowe can take some solace in the fact that he has historically been a strong second-half performer, with a 76-48 record and 3.66 ERA after the break. But the problem for him tonight is that most of that second-half strength comes after July as August and September are by far Lowe's best months, and in fact July is his worst month in terms of ERA (4.88 in 104 July games). But Lowe has another problem and it's called Coors Field as he has an ugly 5.53 ERA in 10 career starts there and he's not the only starter who would rather be skipped when Coors comes up on the schedule. It turns out that Hammel's home park has not been friendly to him at all this season, as he is just 3-6 with a 4.92 ERA in 10 starts there in 2011 (vs. 2-2 and 3.40 in eight road starts). The over is 12-4 in Hammels' last 16 home games. Take the 'over.' As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

At 10:15 pm, our selection is on the San Francisco Giants over the Los Angeles Dodgers. If the NL comeback player of the year award were to be handed out right now, it would be no contest and the Giants' righthanded starter Ryan Vogelsong would be a shoe-in for the title. It's not even that Vogelsong was far down on the list for a comeback this season because quite frankly, he wasn't even on the radar. That's because hardly anyone knew - or cared - that the Giants had signed Vogelsong to a contract in January and that he made the team out of Spring Training as a middle reliever. Turns out that this was Vogelsong's first major league gig in five years. But it didn't take long for some key injuries to the Giants' rotation - first to Barry Zito, and then to Jonathan Sanchez - to give Vogelsong a chance at starting again, something he did in 2004, and he hasn't looked back since his first start on April 28 against his old Pirates team. Vogelsong comes into this start with incredible stats: a 6-1 record and 2.17 ERA in 14 starts (plus two relief appearances). It's somewhat ironic that he faces the Dodgers tonight as Vogelsong considered signing with them in the off-season instead of the Giants but wound up choosing the City by the Bay and he is no doubt glad that he did. The Giants have won four straight meetings and 12 of the last 18. Take San Fran. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. And don't miss any of my 4 Baseball Winners on this Monday. Or, better yet, join for a week or month to get all of our sharp information.
