    RICHIE CARRERA

    San Francisco/CINCINNATI OVER 8.5 (-105) 10 Dimes (Risk 10.5)

Bigger play on a total today as we look to continue our streak. I love the pitching matchup to go over today at the GAB. Zito is a 6 run 4th inning waiting to happen; and Cuerto, while pitching great, is due to give up a few to a solid SF lineup that is on the brink of throwing up some runs. Cuerto puts his 1.88 ERA up against newly aquired Carlos Beltran and co. Should be a good one, hopefully a high scoring one!

CINCINNATI REDS (-155, list both pitchers) over San Francisco Giants, 10 dimes
A great pitching matchup for the home team here. I know the juice is high on this one, but Cueto has been Mr. Reliable this season, stopping teams dead in their tracks on the road and at home. The guy simply doesn't give up a lot of runs. He's incredibly never given up more than 3 earned runs in a start all year. The ERA is well under 2.00, and he shut down San Fran earlier this year in a road matchup out west. I'm not too worried about the new Giant, Carlos Beltran, and his hitting power. Sure, he's got excellent career numbers against the Reds, but in the last two games he's been nonexistent. Hell, it's been well over 10 games since he's had a multi hit performance. He's settling in, and Cueto should be handling this lineup without a problem. Barry Zito goes to the hill for the Gmen, but his lifetime numbers against the Reds are God-Awful. In eight career starts, Zito has gotten pummelled. His ERA against them is well over 7.00. And I don't need to tell you how poorly Zito has been doing lately. He'll have trouble against a hot hitting team like Cinci. The Reds
are hitting .280 over their last 7 contests, enough to average about 5 and a half runs a game. On the other side of the bill, the Giants are hitting a pathetic .183 over their last 7. Roll with the home team here.

      ---Start Time 1:35 PM EST---
PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES/Pittsburgh Pirates under 8 runs, 5 dimes

      ---Start Time 4:10 PM EST---
SEATTLE MARINERS/Tampa Bay Rays over 7 runs, 5 dimes

1*Boston Red Sox @ Chicago White Sox - WHITE SOX TO WIN (-116)

Andrew Miller gets the start for the Red Sox, and he has been struggling as of late. In his last three starts MIller is 1-1 with a 9.00 ERA and 2.42 WHIP. Mark Buehrle on the other hand is 2-0 with a 0.86 ERA and 1.05 WHIP over his last 3 starts. On the season his ERA is a respectable 3.22 to go along with a respectable 8-5 record (the White Sox are 14-6 in his starts). Yesterday the Red Sox won their first game of the year against the White Sox, making them 1-4 in these two teams 5 meetings this year. Also note the White Sox went 6-1 against Boston last year, and are 14-3 in their last 17 meetings overall. Note that the White Sox are 5-1 int heir last 6 games following a loss, and 4-0 in their last 4 games as a favorite. The White Sox are 12-2 in Buehrle's last 14 starts, and 37-14 in his last 51 starts as a home favorite. The AL Central is one of the only divisions in the majors that the Red Sox have struggled with, going 3-7 in their last 10 games vs AL Central opponents. The White Sox have the edge in this south paw show down this afternoon, and have owned the Red Sox over recent years. Smart money is on the White Sox here this afternoon at a good price. Take Chicago money line.

                  Rockies at Padres
                  Pick: Rockies

The Padres continue to plumb new depths at home, where they have recorded a sorry 21-34 record at Petco Park this season. Colorado is getting well this weekend in San Diego and can can complete the sweep on Sunday if starter Juan Nicasio pitches as he has in three of his last five starts when allowing one or no runs (don't ask about the other two starts). He and the Rockies' offense are better options than the punchless Padres attack and starter Wade LeBlanc, making his first start since June 20 after allowing foes to bat .354 in three previous starts this season. Decent value for Colorado at even-money prices.

30 Dime baseball selection on the Padres over the Rockies as these N.L. West rivals wrap up a weekend series from San Diego. At the time I release this winner, San Diego is a -115 home favoorite across the board both here in Vegas and offshore. Note that you must list Colorado’s Juan Nicasio as Colorado’s starting pitoher when placing your action. Nicasio must pitch or this play is VOID!

15 Dime baseball selection on the Indians over the Royals as these A.L. Central rivals cap a weekend series in Cleveland. At the time I release this winner, Cleveland is a -145 favorite across the board both here in Vegas and offshore. Note that you must list Cleveland’s Fausto Carmona and Kansas City’s Kyle Davies as the starting pitchers when placing your action. Both must pitch or this play is VOID!

As my 80 Dimer today, I am releaseng the MILWAUKEE BREWERS RUN LINE. All run line plays will include an auto-list of the pitchers, so be sure to keep an eye out for any scratches, so you do not end up with a 'no action' ticket, as I love the Brewers no matter who is up on the slab. And as I release this play at 5 a.m. pacific, the line appoars to be Milwaukee -1-1/2 runs, +115 both in Las Vegas and at all Offshore books.

Game: Los Angeles at Indiana (6:00 PM Eastern)
                          Pick: Los Angeles +9 (+100)

This one appears to be an easy win for Indiana, but there's a good chance Indiana could get caught off-guard here, allowing the Sparks to keep things close. Indiana has been on a tear of late. They have won three straight, beating the spread by a cumulative 20 points in those games. The last time they faced LA, the Fever won by 6 points in LA. Prior to that, these two teams played here in Indiana with the Fever rolling by 19 points. So while Indiana will be (over)confident, LA is playing with a strong revenge motivation. Further reason to believe LA may suffer a letdown here? They are just 2-6 ATS in their last eight vs. losing teams.
Take LA plus the points here.
