Colorado Rockies vs. St. Louis Cardinals
Sunday night’s ESPN telecast takes MLB bettors to Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO where the Cardinals will look to add to the Colorado Rockies woes in the series finale of the team’s three-game set; first pitch is set for 8:05 ET.
After taking the first two games of their series with the Cincinnati Reds at the Great American Ball Park, many were of the belief that the Rockies had once again found their late summer swagger. Unfortunately, the barometer for Troy Tulowitzki and his mates plummeted rather quickly as manager Jim Tracy’s squad dropped each of their L/3 which includes this series’ opener on Friday night. Now 11.5-games out of first in the NL West, the Rockies are primed for the spoiler role the rest of the way even though they’ve managed a 27-34 mark away from Coors Field (-$685).
Six-games off the pace in the NL Wild Card race, the Cardinals best bet in qualifying for the playoffs right now looks to be within the division. Heading into Saturday’s slate, manager Tony LaRussa’s outfit has a four-game deficit to make up on Milwaukee. The Redbirds have done their best to keep up with the Brewers over their L/10, but their 7-3 mark is a game worse than the Brew Crew’s 8-2 tally. Though St. Louis sports a 31-26 home record, it’s in the red (-$483) as a host on the year.
The home team won each of these teams seven meetings a year ago, but has only gone 2-2 in the four games played in 2011; St. Louis holds a 3-1 advantage in the current season series. The ‘under’ has cashed each of the L/6 times these clubs went at one another in Bush Stadium. Colorado has won five of Esmil Rogers' six starts to date, but has gone a meager 22-49 the L/71 times it was dogged on the road. Edwin Jackson has alternated good and bad starts in his first three starts for the Cards since coming over from the White Sox; the most recent being a six-inning no decision quality start. St. Louis has beaten each of the L/4 sub .500 teams it’s faced and stands 5-2 its L/7 as a chalk.

Sunday's Action
30 Dime baseball winner # 7 of 8 is my A.L. game of the month on the L.A. Angels as the viseting road favoorite as they conclude their weekond series against the Blue Jays. At the time I release this winner, Los Angeles is priced right around a -135 favorite across the board both here in Vegas and offshore. Note that you must list both Haren and Cecil as the starting pitchers when placing your action. Both must start, or this play is VOID!
Sunday Comps.
Sebastian "The Dishonest Carnival Barker Beggar"-OVER Yankees(I hear tin cups are on sale at CVS-perhaps he should go over there and buy a couple-either than or go to church and pray to get a few clients for the football season).

1 OF 6
Game: Minnesota at Cleveland (1:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: Minnesota +135 (moneyline)
Minnesota has been getting healthy on offense and has a good arm on the hill in Kevin Slowey. Like many Twins' hurlers, he has exceptional control. He's walked one in 14+ innings this season and he's been great in his career against the Indians at 6-2 with a 3.52 ERA, walking six in 61 innings to go along with 61 strikeouts. The Twins are 7-2 in Slowey's last nine starts and 17-8 in his last 25 starts vs. American League Central. This is a good hitter's park in Cleveland and Minnesota likes facing lefty David Huff, who is 3-5 with a 5.52 ERA against them. The Indians are 3-13 in Huff's last 16 starts overall and the Twins are 5-1 in Slowey's last six starts against the Indians, making this a great spot for the dog. Play the Twins.
