Los Angeles Dodgers @ San Diego Padres - DODGERS TO WIN (-117)
(Note: I'm risking 1.17 units to win 1 unit)

Quick notes: Ted Lilly has a low 2.59 ERA over his last 9 starts, which includes an opponents batting average of just .173. Wade LeBlanc is just 4-5 on the season with an ERA of 5.07, 1.54 WHIP, and opponents batting average of .290. The Dodgers are one of the league's hottest teams going 21-8 in their last 29 overall, including 4-1 in their last 5 road games, 25-8 in their last 33 as a favorite, and 11-1 in their last 12 Friday games. The Padres are just 8-21 in their last 29 as a home underdog, and 16-35 vs NL West opponents. The Dodgers are 8-1 in these two teams last 9 meetings, and 4-1 in Lilly's last 5 starts vs the Padres. The Padres are just 1-6 in LeBlanc's last 7 starts vs the Dodgers. The play is Los Angeles here.

          Friday

15 Dime Play on Brigham Young as the home favorite tontght against Central Florida. As I release this selection at 7 AM Pacific, the Cougars are pretty much -2 at the overwhelmhing majority of sportsbooks both in Vegas and offshore. As you know, I firmly believe in buying the half-point when the number crosaes 3, 4, 7 and sometimes 10. If for some reason - and I highly doubt that it will - this line goes to -3 or -3 1/2, then you should proceed to buy down the half-point on the Cougars. Otherwise, don't do a thing.

NCAA Football YTD: 18-15 (+1.9 units)

Have some plays shaping up nicely for the weekend. Will send out the plays on Saturday morning by 11:00 ET. To tonight:
                                • 1* UCF +2 (-110)
Both programs are coming off rough week 3 losses, with BYU being embarassed by in-state rival Utah 54-10, while Central Florida lost a tight one 17-10 to FIU. UCF has won 10 straight games following a loss, and always seem to rise in rare spotlight games in front of a national audience.

UCF clearly has the better defense in this game, as the unit has only allowed one TD in the last 12 quarters. They will go against a Jake Heap lead offense in BYU that has yet to find their identity, as they haven't scored more than 16 pts in any game and are averaging 1.9 yards per carry. UCF has as talented of a defense as the other quality teams BYU has played this year (Texas, Ole Miss, Utah), so their speed should give BYU's offense fits.

BYU's offense turned the ball over seven (six fumbles) last week in their game against Utah,

BYU has yet to record a sack on defense in 2011, and giving UCF quarterback Jeff Godfrey time in the pocket is a receipe for disaster for BYU. The sophomore playmaker will be a problem for BYU with his rare ability to throw and run, and he's looking to bounce back after a rough game last week against FIU.

UCF has been a road covering machine, as George O'Leary's kids are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games away from Orlando, and UCF is 10-1-1 in their last 12 games following an ATS loss.

Give me the better offense and defense and the points in this game. BYU struggles to stop the run, and I look for Godfrey to use his legs late to close this one out and a UCF upset victory.

                                UCF 23
                                BYU 17
