SCOTT SPREITZER'S CFB TAPOUT GAME OF THE MONTH! *16-0, 100%

                UCLA (+21.5, ov56.0)
                STANFORD (-21.5, un56.0)
                Saturday, Oct 01 2011, 07:30 PM PST
                Take " (150) STANFORD "
I'm laying the points with Stanford on Saturday night. The Cardinal thumped UCLA 35-0 last year in Pasadena. It was a 5-TD blowout despite a less than average game from Andrew Luck who completed just 11 of 24 passes. I expect a similar margin of victory in this one, while I also believe Luck will have a much better game. One thing that I believe won't change will be Stanford's dominating defensive performance. Last season, the Cardinal held UCLA to 233 total yards on 4.3 yards per play. QBs Richard Brehaut and Kevin Prince connected on just 11 of 21 passes for 81 yards with a pair of sacks and an interception. Seven of UCLA's 10 possessions ended in five plays or less. Neither Bruin QB is impressing us this season. The two were slammed by Texas in their only true step-up game, combining on 11 of 26 passing for 176 yards, 3 INTs and a sack. UCLA gained a rare conference road win last week, a 27-19 victory over a bad Oregon State team. But in doing so, the Bruins did get outgained. The difference came thanks to a +2 turnover margin. But against Texas, UCLA was shelled for 488 yards on 7 yards per play. Young Case McCoy tore up the Bruins like a seasoned veteran and the Longhorns ran for 284 yards on more than 5 yards per pop. Stanford is simply nasty on both sides of the ball and will look to put the Bruins away early. Making matters tougher on the Bruin offense is the loss of starting OLT Sean Sheller. The 6th year senior was lost for the season after injuring his arm against Texas. UCLA will now start a sophomore (Chris Ward) at OLT. This looks like a long night for the already struggling UCLA offense. The Bruins are on a 0-7 ATS slide against teams that average at least 4.75 yards per carry. They're 0-6 ATS against teams that average at least 5.9 yards per play. Meanwhile, the Cardinal are on an 8-0-1 ATS run overall. They're 9-0 ATS after outgaining an opponent by at least 125 yards which shows once this team gains momentum...look out. That's 4 perfect 100% spots. And the first and last add up to a 16-0, 100% combined spot. I'm laying the points with Stanford on Saturday night. Thanks!
