    #2
    Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

Presque Isle Downs - Race #3
#4 Fit as a Fiddle I liked her local debut a little bit earlier this month, and she moves around two turns with a potentially great spying trip waiting for her. Pedigree suggests she can handle it.
#5 Beads The Golden Gate main track tries stack up nicely here, so it's not a total shock to see her show up here to find synthetic footing. Didn't love the comeback, but there is obvious upside today.
#3 Little Miss Munny I wouldn't be afraid to give this one a look for something better than she showed last time, but I also don't think I'd be too interested in doing so at anything like the 5/2 ML offering.
Race Summary Fit as a Fiddle ran well in her local debut and might have a little room to come forward while getting around two turns for the first time today -- might settle in as the second choice?
Presque Isle Downs - Race #5
#8 Highs N Lows He showed speed and stayed into the stretch before stopping, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him stick around better today, and the barn has won with two of their other three similar runners this meet that aren't this guy.
#2 Lake Cumberland He looks like one of the more appealing ones on paper, so get a look at him on the track and tote ahead of this. Might be prepped to go from the Turfway work.
#9 Ransom Money Outside draw might be a benefit here while a couple potential pace players sort things out underneath, and he's working in a way that suggests maybe he showed up to the track with a little bit of fitness ahead of those three published works.
Race Summary Highs N Lows draws outside of the other proven pace, so he might be in a spot to attack from the start at a decent price after stopping in the final sixteenth last out.
Presque Isle Downs - Race #8
#8 Ellymarie She showed a little bit of life in that last one when trying this level for the first time, and I like that she got past a few horses in that one -- could see that being useful in a race without a ton of finishing punch.
#3 Next Dot She's had a few chances already, but she has some dangerous pace and has been pretty solid in a couple of exacta shares over the local footing. Might have some pressure, but she's no surprise today.
#1 Whiskeystreetblues I don't love the overall form, but she has faced better than this and tries this softer price tag for the first time. Suppose something like the four-back race at Parx would do, but that set of words isn't exactly a confident endorsement.
Race Summary Ellymarie has some midrange price appeal after an improved effort on the cutback, and she might be able to turn a one-paced finishing run into a score today.

      #3
      Frank Carulli's Daily Picks

      Delaware Park - Race #1
#2 UNCLE WINCHESTER (4-1) Dueled through solid splits, held second in debut at this level.
#5 MAT MATTERS (3-1) Penn National invader chased lively pace, hit board in four straight.
#7 SECRET SATURDAY (2-1) Plagued by bad starts, wears blinkers for the first time.
Race Summary UNCLE WINCHESTER took money in his debut, out-dueled GRAND PARKVIEW, but settled for second best behind the trip-sitting favorite. He shortens up to 5-1/2F and gets Lasix again. Bet to win and place and play 2-5 and 2-7 exactas.
      Delaware Park - Race #2
#7 MUCHO MACHO MYRTLE (6-1) Been slowed by pace scenarios but stands 4/1-2-1 this year.
#3 SOLVING PROGRESS (2-1) Beaten fave in last pair but can make good use of her speed in this spot.
#6 TOOSHAY (3-1) Romped on class drop two back, tried turf to no avail, has good back numbers.
Race Summary MUCHO MACHO MYRTLE prompted a slow pace while saving ground and ‘churned on’ to finish third in a longer route race. She caught the even-money favorite to break her maiden at one mile in the race prior. Bet to win and place.
      Delaware Park - Race #4
#1 AYEARTOREMEMBER (4-1) Proven 6F form, recovered from bad start but couldn’t pass 30-1 winner.
#5 GWYNEDD (8-1) Gets in light, will be running late, good use in gimmick wagers.
#2 BLOME (2-1) Won for $50k in April, runs for cheapest tag after five weeks away.
Race Summary AYEARTOREMEMBER spotted the field a couple lengths after stumbling out of the gate, advanced in-hand but couldn’t get by the stubborn 30-1 winner as the top pair separated from the field at Parx. She cuts back to her best distance and should sit a good stalking trip in an evenly-matched lineup. Play a 1,5/1,2,5,6,7/1,2,5,6,7 trifecta.

            Century Mile - Race #7 - Post: 9:15pm - SO - 6.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $14,500 Class Rating: 81

            Rating:

            #1 BOOTIFUL ROSE (ML=5/1)
            #4 CHURCH HARBOR (ML=8/1)

BOOTIFUL ROSE - Racing over a familiar track, where she has won multiple times before, I have to put this horse at the top of my list of strong contenders. As the only speedball in the race, I expect this filly to be long gone. I like this filly. Has the highest earnings per start in this contest. CHURCH HARBOR - Based on drills, I look for this filly to run a big race. This filly is in good physical condition, having run a nice race on June 28th, finishing first. I took a look at this filly's finishes. She's almost always in the top three. Zielke is sharp with any horse racing 1st time after a claim. The trainer is very good with those types.

            Vulnerable Contenders: #3 JOY IN GRACE (ML=9/5), #6 TEXAS TIDELANDS (ML=2/1), #5 PRANCE (ML=7/2),

JOY IN GRACE - This mare notched a fig in her last event which probably isn't good enough today. TEXAS TIDELANDS - No early speed in this race to help this closer's chances. This horse doesn't have a winner's demeanor. Regularly finishes second or third. PRANCE - This runner didn't go to the lead and didn't close down the stretch last time she ran.
STRAIGHT WAGERS: #1 BOOTIFUL ROSE is going to be the play if we are getting 7/5 or better
            EXACTA WAGERS: Box [1,4]

              Race 5 - Claiming - 6.0f on the Dirt. Purse: $9400 Class Rating: 78

FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD WHICH HAVE NEVER WON THREE RACES. THREE YEAR OLDS, 119 LBS.; OLDER, 123 LBS. NON-WINNERS OF A RACE SINCE JUNE 24 ALLOWED 3 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $6,500
              RECOMMENDED CHOICES
              # 2 LUVTHEONEURWITH 15/1
              # 1 SCRATCHOFF 5/2
              # 6 ADIOS COOL ARROWS 7/2
LUVTHEONEURWITH looks like the bet in here especially at 15/1. Vega has an excellent ROI over the past 30 days (+161) which should help investors with this pick. Could beat this group given the 65 speed figure earned in his last outing. Has performed well recently in sprint races, posting a nifty 68 avg speed figure. SCRATCHOFF - This gelding is coming right back to race. He has been racing very well lately while recording solid Speed Figures. ADIOS COOL ARROWS - Will probably be one of the leaders of the bunch going into the halfway point of the affair. The Equibase speed fig of 76 from his most recent affair looks very strong in here.

Race 1 - Maiden Special Weight - 5.0f on the Dirt. Purse: $24000 Class Rating: 62

FOR ACCREDITED LA BRED MAIDENS, FILLIES TWO YEARS OLD WEIGHT, 117 LBS.
                RECOMMENDED CHOICES
                # 4 DEVIL'S POOL 2/1
                # 2 LUCKY GEM 5/2
                # 5 DIAMOND EMPRESS 3/1
DEVIL'S POOL is my choice. Johnson has been effective with two year olds, winning at a 19 percent rate. The Lasix change (with second time Lasix) may spark a return to the races for this filly. Must be given consideration here on the basis of the numbers in the speed department alone. LUCKY GEM - This conditioner is formidable with starters in juvenile races. Quite good jockey and trainer combo winning 17 percent of their races working together. DIAMOND EMPRESS - Might wake up with Lasix change (on Lasix) today. Should be considered against this group of horses based solely on pedigree figures. Lozada's ROI over the last 30 days automatically makes this pony a sharp contender.

                  Presque Isle Downs - Race #1 - Post: 3:00pm - Claiming - 5.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $14,000 Class Rating: 76

                  Rating:

                  #4 BOCA (ML=7/2)
                  #3 SUSIE'S SAVER (ML=8/1)

BOCA - Fennessy drops her down to this class level. You don't need too much more from the horse's history to think this horse has a shot at this level. I believe the addition of blinkers today will help this mare focus her attention on racing. SUSIE'S SAVER - The jockey/conditioner twosome of Delgado and Amaya has a strong ROI together. This thoroughbred coming off a nice performance in the last thirty days is a strong challenger in my book.

                  Vulnerable Contenders: #2 I'M HEADING EAST (ML=2/1), #6 MAGIC LIFE (ML=5/2), #5 ORPHAN EXCHANGE (ML=5/1),

I'M HEADING EAST - The probable favorite is shaky here with the lack of morning drills. You always think this horse has a shot to cross the finish line in first, but she comes up short often. Pace makes the race and the deficiency of speed means this come from behinder will have to rally without any help. MAGIC LIFE - If she goes off near the oddsmaker's morning line of 5/2, I'll have to pass. ORPHAN EXCHANGE - Last ran on July 10th at Presque Isle Downs, finishing fifth. Not likely to move up off of that effort in today's race.
STRAIGHT WAGERS: Put your money on #4 BOCA on the nose if you can get odds of 7/5 or more
