Belterra Park - Race #5

#4 Devil of Paradis	She moved forward nicely when proving a good fit with the locals last time out, and she has some pace in a race without a lot of early burn on paper. Barn has been pinpoint with limited starters of this kind the last few years.
#9 Mink Stole	She didn't show much on the Churchill main at first asking, but she'll find a softer bunch here while trying turf and presumably can only go up from that first one.
#11 Case Ima Rose	She makes sense off the competitive pair of local turf sprints, but she has had a lot of chances and may once again find one or two of these a little too good. Capable, but uninspiring.
Race Summary	Pretty decent lean to Devil of Paradis today, and I wouldn't be unhappy to be singled here in a spot where some others may spread. Mink Stole is a reasonable alternative/inclusion on deeper plays.

Belterra Park - Race #6

#7 Pure Elegance	Worth a little shot here in a spot where most of them don't have a whole lot of finishing punch, and the dirt sprints on her page are fairly reliable. Think she can come alive late at a price.
#2 Distinctive Flower	The baseline tries on the turf seem competitive with this group, but it has been awhile since she was on the dirt, and the sprints on her page from last summer weren't much to write home about. Capable on overall form, but I wouldn't be excited if the price got too short -- couple questions to answer.
#6 Suzy Q The Queen	Her recent sprint races are also pretty underwhelming, but she found some better form in those last couple starts and might be able to turn that into a decent effort while cutting back with route pace. Some things to like.

I've got to go with THUNDER OF ZION. Should be considered here on the basis of the figures in the speed section alone. Always good to invest in a conditioner with this kind of decent win percentage - 17 percent - at this distance & surface. Will almost certainly come out very strong - I have liked the way this gelding has moved promptly to the front end recently. MR. T'S THIRSTY - Has respectable Speed Figures and has to be considered for a bet in this event. He looks strong in this slot and I expect will be on the front end or close at the halfway point. GRAZEN SUN - Has run admirably when racing a dirt sprint race. He has a good opportunity for this event as trainer, Wright, has sharp win rate with horses going this distance.

TABEGUACHE - This colt seems to run pretty good after a layoff. The ROI when Franco and Cox partner up is fantastic. COOKE CREEK - This gelding's last figure earned on Jun 29th is number one in last race speed ratings. This thoroughbred has increased his Equibase speed figures in each of the last 2 races. That kind of progress is just want you want for a winner today. POWER SEEKER - I like when a pony wins after shipping in from elsewhere. It shows that they really like the track here. I'll take this horse to win again. Cruised home victorious as he wired the field just recently at Saratoga. Quickly back to the track to potentially do it again in this event. CLASSIC CATCH - This colt has higher odds on the morning line than the other entrant from the stable of Pletcher. Better watch out for this angle. Last raced at Saratoga with a poor post. I swiped some data from The Brain, and his computer says the inside should be a big help to this one today.
