The Royals have lost seven straight, and their chances of winning their division are almost out of reach. Kansas City needs to refocus, or they will likely miss the playoffs, which was statistically impossible two weeks ago. Starting pitcher Seth Lugo has been a bright spot this year and has the arm strength to pitch deep into a game. Anytime the Royals can avoid significant innings from their bullpen is a plus. The Guardians have been on fire, hitting the ball over the weekend, but Kansas City still has been the better offensive team in the second half of the season. Cleveland starter Ben Lively’s strikeouts are down, so Kansas City should be able to take advantage of them at home. Take the Royals.
