Philadelphia has been solid against left-handed pitching this year and continued its hot hitting down the stretch. However, neither starting pitcher has been sharp in their last few starts, and the bullpens have looked lost in the playoffs, especially Philadelphia’s. The Mets have the lineup to strike for multiple runs late in a game, as we have seen in the last week of play. The wind is blowing out, which might bump a warning trackball. Tonight’s total is pretty generous, considering the streakiness of the pitchers on both teams. The Phillies starter has not pitched for nine days. Extended rest tends to lead to failure.
