    #2
    Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

Presque Isle Downs - Race #1
#6 Purr Factor She's getting short on excuses, but her local debut was pretty solid last time around and may do the trick today if she can hold that form against what feels like a modest group for the local level.
#1 Tactical Joke Couple of races on her page would probably make her tough, but she's at least a little bit of a question mark over the local footing and doesn't always finish her races with a whole lot of punch.
#2 Echo Baybe Nothing serious in the lane from her through four starts, but she has been running in New York and gets some class relief out of that latest try at the Spa.
Race Summary Purr Factor draws well to track the pace from the outside, and I think she should be able to handle these from that good striking spot. Would be happy to take her a mildly priced second choice.
Presque Isle Downs - Race #4
#3 Courageous Ari She's in for a tag for the first time after a string of decent underneath finishes, and maybe this is just a spot to try to land a win before the season ends. One of the ones.
#1 Instabrat She has been reliable, if a bit underwhelming, through three starts and seems in the mix with this group today if she can work out a trip from the fence. Price might be a touch better today?
#8 Like a Dream Lots of fresh faces to check out ahead of this one, but I'll start that work with this filly who intrigues most of the new runners on paper.
Race Summary Courageous Ari may offer something appealing enough on the board to jump in today on the drop, as she has been landing some close shares at decent prices with better.
Presque Isle Downs - Race #7
#7 Reeled In Hoping a few of these knock heads in the early going, as he brings pretty reliable finishing form and has run into a pretty hot winner in a couple of his recent starts. Enough to like if the tempo is honest.
#6 Tarsus Warrior He steps out into open company after easily clearing his PA-bred first-level allowance condition, but he might have a couple of other players to deal with in the early going today. Tough call if the price gets short -- the talent is there.
#1 Oskar Martinez He's quick enough to be in the mix early on, but he also has a mild rating gear that might allow him to tuck in the pocket and let the more serious early burners hash things out in front of him.
Race Summary Reeled In might get an OK setup if a couple of the other forward players hassle the Tarsus Warrior, a sharp and fast PA-bred who gets a tougher test today in open company.

      #3
      Frank Carulli's Daily Picks

      Parx - Race #1
#5 RACEY RUBY (6-5) Couldn’t stay with odds-on winner, cutback and class drop provide winning edge.
#7 INCAN MOON GODDESS (5-1) Unhurried until rail rally on turn at 6F, leveled off, stretches out.
#6 JESS’S MOMENT (4-1) Second in last pair, gets in light, must stay in closer contact early.
Race Summary RACEY RUBY rallied in tandem inside of the winning favorite and tired in the stretch in a longer $40k route race. She holds a tactical advantage and is clearly the one to beat on the class drop. Bet to win and place and play 5-6, 5-7 and 7-5 exactas.
      Parx - Race #4
#5 ANGELIC STORM (6-1) Right set-up, right price in speed-laden field, gets new pilot.
#2 DENALI RAE (8-5) Three wins at 6F, rivals are combined 7-for-85, strictly the one to beat.
#3 VALIANT MAJESTY (5-2) Idle 5 weeks since vet voided claim, drops for barn that re-claimed her.
Race Summary ANGELIC STORM will have to step it up a notch in her third start at this level, but she benefits from a projected lively pace at a distance which she romped at three starts ago. She changes jockeys and is worth a win and place bet at an inflated price. Also play 5-2 and 5-3 exactas.
      Parx - Race #6
#6 WAR MASTER (5-1) Ness-trained 3yo got back on winning track with third romp in seven starts.
#1 PARTY AT SAM’S (5-2) Shook duel with second favorite, shook 6-1/2F winless streak with ease.
      #2 MR. SANDMAN (9-2) Steady check-getter, $225k Parx earner despite 3-for-30 record.
Race Summary WAR MASTER was hard-ridden in the final quarter mile and held second behind the pace-setting winner in a one-turn mile at Laurel Park. Then he toyed with five rivals in a 7F romp at Parx as the odds-on favorite. He appears rounding to another good race and the price is right for a win and place bet.

            # 3 LET'S GO MARK 7/2
            # 4 PRINCE COLTON 5/1
            # 7 ENFORCER 5/1
My pick in this contest is LET'S GO MARK. Shows evidence of the look of a lucrative play, averaging a solid 83 speed figure which is one of the top in this field. Don't overlook this gelding in your bets - very dangerous with Elliott aboard. He has a competitive distance/surface win record - 3 out of 13. PRINCE COLTON - His 81 average has this colt with among the strongest Equibase Speed Figures in this race. Very solid gains have been scored by gamblers using this rider and handler twosome lately. ENFORCER - Brown has this gelding running well and is a very strong selection based on the quite good Equibase Speed Figures recorded in sprint races as of late. Could best this field based on the Equibase Speed Fig - 83 - of his last race.

Race 4 - Maiden Special Weight - 6.0f on the Dirt. Purse: $32600 Class Rating: 60

              # 5 DARK PRINCESS 6/1
              # 6 PLAYING WITH DOLLS 5/2
              # 7 MIA NIPOTINA 4/1
DARK PRINCESS looks to be the bet in here. Is worth considering and may be a bet - strong Equibase Speed Figures (61 average) at today's distance and surface recently. With a strong jockey who has won at a very good 35 percent rate over the last month. This has to be one of the top picks. Has very good front-end speed and will probably fare soundly versus this field. PLAYING WITH DOLLS - Her 51 average has this filly with among the best speed figures in here. Always good to invest in a trainer with this kind of solid win percentage - 18 percent - at this distance & surface. MIA NIPOTINA - Could beat this field given the 56 speed figure garnered in her last outing. She must be given consideration given the quite good speed figs.

                Mountaineer Park - Race #8 - Post: 9:55pm - Claiming - 5.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $7,800 Class Rating: 62

                Rating:

                #1 MAY MAYS CASTLE (ML=6/1)
                #7 PATRIETTIC (ML=6/1)
                #5 WHISPER ME A SONG (ML=10/1)

MAY MAYS CASTLE - Strong return on investment for this jock and trainer duo. Ranked numero uno in earnings per race. Another sign that this horse has the class to win. PATRIETTIC - Entered a $4,000 Claiming race at Mountaineer Park in the last race and raced in the slop finishing fourth. Expect better today. Norris gets a break on this mount carrying 11 lbs less than last out. This should help in this race. WHISPER ME A SONG - Treharne has this filly going in the perfect contest.

                Vulnerable Contenders: #3 LANDY (ML=9/5), #8 BETHPAGE (ML=3/1), #4 GLASS STAR (ML=8/1),

LANDY - Earned a mediocre speed fig last time around the track in a $5,000 Claiming race on October 4th. Not probable to see an improved performance off of that figure. BETHPAGE - Hard to put any dough on this mare on the front end. Likes to finish in the money though. GLASS STAR - Didn't end up on the board on September 22nd at Mountaineer Park. Followed it up with another less than stellar effort.
STRAIGHT WAGERS: #1 MAY MAYS CASTLE is the play if we get odds of 3/1 or better

                  Presque Isle Downs - Race #5 - Post: 4:48pm - Claiming - 5.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $12,000 Class Rating: 69

                  Rating:

                  #5 BLAH BLAH WORLD (ML=8/1)

BLAH BLAH WORLD - Looking at today's class figure, this horse is encountering an easier bunch than last time out at Presque Isle Downs.

                  Vulnerable Contenders: #3 GOTHAM GRAY (ML=9/5), #1 SAWEETIE GIRL (ML=3/1), #8 NEXT DOT (ML=5/1),

GOTHAM GRAY - This racer likes to be in the money, but doesn't usually finish on top. Don't put in the top spot. This pony's record tells you not to bet on her as the public's top choice. SAWEETIE GIRL - A bit of a lackluster try when this filly finished sixth. I don't think this vulnerable equine likes running on the inside, certainly not out of the one post. NEXT DOT - The result of sixth in the last race shows me that this horse may be getting out of condition.
STRAIGHT WAGERS: Putting our cash on #5 BLAH BLAH WORLD to win. Have to have odds of at least 1/1 or better though
                  EXACTA WAGERS: Pass
