The Mets had a great postseason run, but they may be starting to realize they need top-tier talent to compete with the best teams. The Mets blew many opportunities to score early in the game, and then the Dodgers bullpen smothered them. The Dodgers are a warm-weather team and will get a small taste of cooler weather tonight. It will be hard to hit Jose Quintana. Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitched a gem in a win-or-go-home matchup against the Padres. Quintana hasn’t allowed an earned run in his last two starts. Look for tonight’s game to repeat last night without the Dodgers scoring many big runs late. The only chance the Mets have is if they are up before the Dodgers bullpen takes over.
