CODE JORGIE - This deep stretch runner should have a big impact on this race. Expect a big stretch run. The morning line odds on this gelding are higher than those of the other entrant from the shedrow of conditioner Offolter. Often the longer-priced part of a 'split' entry wins. In his last race, this gelding showed good zip then fell back before finishing nicely. GRANDSONSAM - Offolter brings him right back. I propose you stick with this hot gelding.

LEVIATHAN AXE - Don't think this steed will make a winning move in today's race. That last fig was common when compared with today's Equibase class figure. BIG BRAVE OKIE - The seventh place result in the last affair was not the best. E D'ORO - In the last race this less than sharp equine finished seventh. Doesn't look good for his chances in today's event.

I favor REAL GOOD MAGIC in this event particularly if the morning line of 8/1 holds. Is difficult not to consider based on speed figures which have been solid - 67 avg - of late. Gomez ought to be able to get this gelding to break out sharply here. This pony has to be bet upon at the expected big odds. PEVS DISTANT DRUM - Has been racing strongly and has among the most favorable speed in the race for today's distance. ICE AGAIN - Could beat this field given the 70 speed figure garnered in his last outing. Lately Valdezcabral has provided wagerers with a competitive winning percentage with horses racing in dirt sprint races.

I think NOT MY TYPE is a quite good choice. Looks respectable versus this group and should be one of the early speedsters. He has to be carefully examined given the strong speed figs. Is a definite contender - given the 57 Equibase speed fig from his most recent race. BUSTINO SANTINO - Has been running admirably lately and ought to be on the front end early on. Had one of the best Equibase speed figs of this group in his last contest. MONTAUK SURF - Should definitely be considered in this competition if only for the very good speed figure garnered in the last competition. It's a good signal that Barrow is using Navarro on this horse.

GLOBAL HYSTERIA - This is the only real stalker in the race. Possibly a peak effort for this gelding today. Been getting closer with each recent start. RAY'S EMPIRE - I think this gelding is ready to run a good one. He's had enough outings since the layoff and should be fit. I like to bet on this angle, a thoroughbred coming back off a nice race within the last month. Another way to evaluate class is earnings per race. This racer has the top in the field. I think he'll be close at the finish line.

Vulnerable Contenders: #8 IVORY SKY (ML=3/1), #7 ROLLIN MY WAY (ML=4/1), #6 PARTY POOPER (ML=6/1),

IVORY SKY - In any race of 6 furlongs, I like to bet on a contender that has been sharp in short distance contests recently. Would have to get better off that fourth place finish last time out to make an impact here. ROLLIN MY WAY - Not likely that the speed rating he registered on November 12th will be good enough in this affair. PARTY POOPER - Finished first in his most recent effort with a quite unimpressive speed figure. When I look at today's class rating, it would take an improved performance to win after that in this field.

GUEST COMMENTARY: Hal - GLOBAL HYSTERIA - This gelding's superior last speed number of 57, against these horses, makes him the overwhelming choice.
