It’s been a while since the Chiefs have started hot and coasted to a big win. Isaiah Pacheco’s return to the lineup is huge for Kansas City. The Chiefs can lean more on their running game, so Patrick Mahomes can be unpredictable and take advantage of mismatches. The Chargers will miss JK Dobbins and rely more on the arm of Justin Herbert, who doesn’t get the credit he deserves and is overshadowed by Mahomes in the AFC West. Herbert will look to pick apart a Kansas City defense that has lost their way against terrible football teams. Kansas City won the prior meeting earlier in the year on the road and will look to win at home. The Chargers have struggled against the run the last few weeks, while the Chiefs have struggled against the pass. Look for both teams to exploit each other’s weaknesses and for this to be a high-scoring contest. Kansas City is trying to hold off the Bills for the top team in the AFC. Kansas City is well-rested and should get all the love from the refs, and Cris Collinsworth is foaming at the mouth to point out how great Mahomes is. Take the Chiefs and the Over.
