Garnered a sound Equibase Speed Figure in the last race. Can run another good one in this contest. UP ON THE EDGE - Has run strongly when racing a dirt sprint race. SHANCELICIOUS - I like that most recent outing on November 20th at Churchill Downs where she ran third. As long as Egan keeps this racer off the pace, I have to believe this one could be a big winner. Last race was at Churchill Downs. Finished third, but had a decent chunk of the win pool. Could be dangerous today. Ward is good with horses moving to the turf for the first time. You have to figure this filly is going to be in contention in this affair.

Vulnerable Contenders: #9 TIMBER (ML=4/1), #2 CAMM'S PRINCESS (ML=5/1), #6 ALTAMIRA SUR (ML=5/1),

TIMBER - In any race of 7 1/2 furlongs, I like to bet on a contender that has been on the board in sprint contests of late. This racer ran a somewhat easily forgotten speed figure in the last race. She shouldn't improve and will probably get beat today running that number. CAMM'S PRINCESS - Finished fifth last time. Would have to get better to be on the board in today's race. Hasn't hit the board in any sprint events lately. Not probable to see her doing it today either. Placed much too far in the rear on Dec 6th for me to back at the probable odds in today's sprint race. When examining today's class rating, she will have to notch a much better rating than last out to vie in this turf sprint. ALTAMIRA SUR - Unlikely that this mount will be at her best this time around off the long vacation. Maybe next race.

GREAT BARRIER - This questionable contender hasn't been on the track since November 13th. Not even any drills. GETOUTYOURWALLET - No good fortune for this racer in a sprint event over the last couple months tells me that this colt is in a thorny spot will be hard for this horse to beat this field off of that last rating. Improbable to improve enough to run a figure close to today's Equibase class figure, so put him on the possibly overvalued contestants list. PEARCY ROAD - If you keep selecting these sort of 'bridesmaid' types, you're going to be disappointed most every time. BB BAD TOTHEBONE surely seems to be the entrant to beat for this one. Loved this mare's last race. Ran a strong 58 TrackMaster Speed Rating. Major player. Can't gloss over the connections here, a 25 winning percent, one of the best at getting into the winners circle. Deserves a shot given the successful win statistic she sports. JUS CHED - Has good speed ratings and most likely has to be thought of for a bet for this race. A very nice class horse cannot be forgotten. With an average class rating of 62 all signs say it's go time. TIMEFORMETOFLY - Hands down the best position at Century Mile is the 5. The win percentage is fantastic.
