SPOTTED BULL - I really like that last outing on December 3rd at Parx Racing where he ended up third. I sense a pace scenario where the early speed will come back to the field, setting up a perfect situation for his late kick. In his last race, this gelding showed good early speed then fell back before finishing nicely. AHSAD - Adorno comes to ride again after getting to know the gelding in the last event. When Coletti gives Adorno a leg up on any magnificent animal, you sense that with their winning percent you have decidedly more than a fighting chance. Coletti brings him back again. I advocate you stay with this hot gelding.

This harness racer has been making trips to the winner's circle on a regular basis, look for him to make another trip soon. 70 percent of the time this trainer and horse tandem end up hitting the board. Big players in this race. WOODMERE LEAH - Recorded a 77 TrackMaster Speed Rating last time out. A duplicate outing here should get the victory this time. The trainer Garcia has a way with this mare, regularly cashing in their affairs. FREDNECK - This standardbred has shown us ability in its prior races, just look at the 80 avg class figure. Should play well for this one. Has been running very well lately and his style of running should result in a huge performance.

We like the San Jose State Spartans-3 (-109) to defeat the South Florida Bulls on Tuesday at 8:00pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

San Jose State went 7-5 this season, winning against Stanford in its season finally.

The Spartans are one of the best passing teams in College and have a great defense.

South Florida lost its last game to Rice, which has them at 6-6 this year.

USF allowed 430 passing yards (550 total yards) in that game against Rice.

The Bulls are just 3-6 versus the spread over their L9 games this season.

Even though SJSU will be without Nick Nash (wide receiver,) we think the Spartans cover the spread.

3% South Florida (8:00 ET): A little freebie for X-mas Eve as South Florida takes on San Jose State in the Hawaii Bowl. As is the case with just about any bowl now, we must begin the discussion with “who’s in” and “who’s out” for the respective teams. For San Jose State, we know there’s one MAJOR absence as WR Nick Nash has declared for the NFL Draft and won’t play Tuesday. This is a major loss. Not only is Nash SJSU’s best WR, he would get my vote for the Biletnikoff Award (given to the best WR in the country). So the Spartans, who haven’t won a bowl since 2015 will not be operating at full strength here.

Nash’s absence alone would have me on South Florida, who I have power rated as the better team here. But, additionally, there are now rumblings that USF may be getting QB Byrum Brown back. Brown has not played since the loss to Tulane on 9/28 and his return would instantly make the Bulls more dynamic on offense. Which is saying something because they averaged 49.7 PPG in their six victories this season. Now, they only scored 51 points TOTAL in the six losses, but most of those saw them step up in class. I would not call San Jose State a step up in class.

I’ve been really impressed with the job HC Alex Golesh has done in his two years at USF as he has the team on the brink of B2B 7-6 SU seasons after inheriting a lot that won just ONE game in 2021. Last year, the Bulls destroyed Syracuse 45-0 in the Boca Raton Bowl. I know San Jose State is more accustomed with the trip to Honolulu and their HC Ken Niumatalolo played here. But I question how their offense keeps up without Nash as QB Eget only had an 11-9 TD-INT ratio and the running game went for just 3.4 yards per carry this season. I simply think the better team is getting points in this one. 3% South Florida (Play to Pick)
