I think HORSE DOCTOR is a very strong choice. Exhibits the look of a profitable play, averaging a solid 87 speed fig which is one of the strongest in this group. Has a strong record at the distance and surface, which makes me think about this gelding. Should be used in the exotic wagers. SATANTA - Might best this field here, showing decent figures of late. Have to consider solely on class, with some of the best class figures of this group. LUCKY LAD - Will most likely be one of the leaders of the pack going into the halfway point of the affair. The Equibase speed fig of 93 from his latest contest looks quite good in here.

MO FOX GIVIN - Turning for home is when this one will make a strong kick. A wonderful chance to be a winner. Davis comes to saddle up after getting to know the filly in the last race. The addition of Lasix might make this horse wake up and run a great in this race. Personally, I wouldn't worry about where she finished in her last race (fourth). Should improve in this race, with some pretty good odds. DANA'S BEAUTY - Maker moves this animal here to Gulfstream Park from Turfway Park. Looking at the horse's past performance lines, she has shown the ability to win on different ovals. Maker enters this animal in a spot where she should fit well based on her last two Equibase speed figures. Going on Lasix for the 1st time. While a general handicapping angle, it's still quite an important piece of information. Compare today's class (102) with last 3 speeds (102, 107, 106). All three speed figures are good enough to win. A repeat of that last effort on Dec 14th where she recorded a speed fig of 106 looks lofty enough to score in this affair.

Likes to land in the top three though. Will be tough for this racer to beat this field off of that last speed fig. Not probable to improve enough to run a figure close enough to today's Equibase class figure, so put her on the likely underpriced contenders list. SUN BEE - Recent dropping speed figs of 97/87/74 give a clue that this animal may be going off form.

I think TONKA WARRIOR is a quite good choice. This choice will feel the med change - now going off Lasix today. Arrieta has recent return on investment figures which make this one a good wager. TIME FOR TROUBLE - He must be considered given the very good speed figures. A solid 108 avg class rating may give this gelding a distinct class edge versus this group. KINETIC - Is tough not to consider based on Equibase Speed Figures which have been competitive - 98 avg - of late. Appears to be the type to be helped now going off Lasix here.

GOWELLS DELIGHT - This filly made her initial bow on December 26th and ran well to finish first at big odds. I'm looking for another big effort from her today. Dropping 5 lbs from last race. Could be a deciding factor today. HER LAUGH - The rider and handler combination have a profitable return on investment when they combine forces. After the race aboard this horse on December 21st, the jockey is going to be in tune with the filly much better. LEGAL EMPRESS - This thoroughbred coming off a nice race in the last month is a win candidate in my book. Lower impost of -5. In my opinion, a movement of five is important, so this filly falls into this category.

QUIETSIDE - I don't have a good vibe about this steed in this race. TAKE CHARGE MILADY - Granted the last race was good, finishing first. The lack of any recent activity raises some concerns though.
