    #2
    Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

    Delta Downs - Race #2
#4 Miss Makeithappen She moved forward in that second lifetime start when getting around two turns, but her sprint debut was decent enough to think she can take another step in the right direction while turning back today.
#3 Age of Reason She can be tough here after just missing last out, but that was also the case when she was a short price in each of her last two, so I wouldn't be too confident taking another modest number on the board today.
#5 Gab's Humor She has shown a little versatility in her running style, but she still hasn't been a serious threat to a winner along the way through five starts. Capable, but not too enthusiastic.
Race Summary Miss Makeithappen has some cutback appeal today in a race where I don't totally trust the chalk, and I think she might find a pretty nice tactical spot today.
    Delta Downs - Race #5
#4 Welcometohazeville She went evenly when splitting the field at first asking, but that kind of run might translate into something a bit better while making the second lifetime start. Sustains a mild bid better today?
#5 Beautiful Mischief She proved a good fit with the local company last time out, but she has also had her share of chances and might not have a whole lot of upside today. In the mix.
#7 Railey Jean She showed only the briefest pace before folding up last out, but she might find herself in an OK prompting spot outside of the speed types drawn toward the fence.
Race Summary Welcometohazeville can move forward today off the debut run, and I think she'll be able to get past a few of the forward threats late today.
    Delta Downs - Race #10
#7 Trakas She took a little cash at 5/1 against nine others in the debut try, and she flashed a little sharp speed before quitting early for the day. There isn't much speed lined up inside of her, so she might be able to have a go as the controlling pace today.
#9 Gloryland She wouldn't be any surprise here after fitting well with similar last time out, but I wonder how hard she'll have to hustle at this slightly shorter trip.
#3 Majestic Irons She goes first out in a fairly soft spot, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see her be live enough to factor. Take a look at her on the track and tote.
Race Summary Trakas looks interesting enough, especially if the price stays fair, as she at least has a little pace in a race without much confirmed early burn.

      #3
      Frank Carulli's Daily Picks

      Turf Paradise - Race #3
#4 WILLING TO BURN (4-1) Consistent, ran 1-2 in half of starts at one mile, can use her speed well.
#8 MERINO WOOL (8-1) Improved numbers on turf recently, good one-mile record, good price.
#6 LUVAHAPPYENDING (3-1) Tracked slow pace 3- to 5-wide, lugged in, still got up to win.
Race Summary WILLING TO BURN is eligible for this race by 11 days and was a model of consistency at Emerald Downs during a lightly-raced 7-year-old season. She had two wire-to-wire victories going a route of ground and faded while chasing the fleet-footed 5-2 winner in a turf starter allowance last out. Bet to win and place and play 4-6 and 4-8 exactas.
      Turf Paradise - Race #4
#4 READY TO STORM (10-1) Fits well on best, hit best stride as a gelding for Gleason barn.
#2 LOVE MY JIMMY (2-1) High turn of foot, 6-for-10 record at distance, strictly one to beat on drop.
#3 STRENGHT OF AUTISM (6-1) Late-running sprinter doesn’t shy from the photo-finish camera.
Race Summary READY TO STORM, off the re-claim by a barn that coaxed a lot of run from him, is a good fit at this level and should work out an ideal trip from just off the pace. He dueled a long way two starts back before the 31-1 winner rallied by for the win. Bet to win and place and play a 2-4 exacta box.
      Turf Paradise - Race #5
#7 COASTAL GIRL (7-2) Idle since August claim, upstaged in-money finishes, works indicate readiness.
#4 CHARYBDIS (3-1) Won 5-1/2F debut here, dueled between rivals and tired against better in latest.
#2 GRAZED N CONFUSED (2-1) Gets class relief, won off longer layoff than this as a 4-year-old.
Race Summary COASTAL GIRL rode the rail, was asked for run mid-turn, steadied near the top of the stretch and regrouped to win going away at 6F. She returns five months later off a series of strong workouts for her first start at Turf Paradise for new connections. Bet to win and place and play a 7/2,4/ALL trifecta.

            Race 4 - Claiming - 8.0f on the Dirt. Purse: $21600 Class Rating: 78

            # 11 SPRAT 7/2
            # 8 YAREE D TAT 12/1
            # 6 AL TIRAH 5/1
SPRAT looks to be a very good contender. Put up a strong Equibase Speed Fig last time out. Must be given consideration here on the basis of the numbers in the speed department alone. YAREE D TAT - Has been running strongly and has among the strongest speed in the race for today's distance. Don't let this filly slip past you. Could win at big odds. AL TIRAH - A solid 79 avg Equibase class figure may give this mare a distinct class edge versus this field. Is a key contender - given the 77 speed rating from her most recent race.

              Fair Grounds - Race #3 - Post: 1:45pm - Claiming - 6.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $30,000 Class Rating: 93

              Rating:

              #1 WILLTORUN (ML=6/1)
              #5 TALONS TIME (ML=3/1)

WILLTORUN - This thoroughbred coming off a nice performance in the last thirty days is a strong challenger in my opinion. The return on investment when Morales and Amoss hook up is outstanding. Three consecutive improved speed figures (75-80-86) make this horse a strong contender. TALONS TIME - I usually like playing sprinters who are 3-4 races into a return. Utilizing this jock/handler combination is a good decision.

Vulnerable Contenders: #6 WENT WEST (ML=5/2), #2 BOSS' DIALIN IN (ML=4/1), #4 SEEKING SAWYER (ML=6/1),

WENT WEST - This horse hasn't had any recent favorable outcomes in sprint contests. Tough to wager on him in this race. This horse didn't do too much last time out of the box. November 20th is the last time we've seen this horse around. Have to be a little bit leery. BOSS' DIALIN IN - This gelding hasn't had any recent favorable outcomes in sprint affairs. Difficult to bet on him in this affair. SEEKING SAWYER - This racer ran a quite unimpressive speed rating last time around the track. He shouldn't show signs of improvement and will probably suffer defeat today running that number.

GUEST COMMENTARY: Hal - TALONS TIME - This gelding has the greatest last speed figure at Fair Grounds. Must be considered in your wagering.

STRAIGHT WAGERS: Bet on #1 WILLTORUN to win if we can get at least 2/1 odds

                # 1 ADIOS CARLOS 5/2
I like SKIPPA here. Overall the Speed Figures of this animal look strong in this race. With a solid 76 Equibase Speed Figure last time out, will surely be a factor in this race. Looks formidable for the conditions of this competition today, showing solid numbers in dirt sprint races as of late. BACK BAYOU - Win percentage under similar conditions may be the key for this gelding. ADIOS CARLOS - Ramirezrodrigu has one of the top winning percentages in this group of horses with entries running at this distance and surface. Ramirezrodrigu has him trained admirably to break swiftly out of the gate.

                  Rating:

                  #3 LOVE LIKE CRAZY (ML=7/2)
                  #7 JUMP A FOX (ML=6/1)

LOVE LIKE CRAZY - The rest of the bunch may trail this racer all the way around the track. JUMP A FOX - Castillo's agent must like anytime Guerrero gives them a mount; winning percentage together is tremendous.

                  Vulnerable Contenders: #4 VANELLOPE (ML=8/5), #5 SPANISH GIRL (ML=9/2), #2 FLAG SONG FLYIN (ML=5/1),

VANELLOPE - You figure that this horse is going to be victorious just because she's always close. Just doesn't get the job done frequently. SPANISH GIRL - Hard to recommend any horse with declining Equibase speed figures of 65/56/46. FLAG SONG FLYIN - You believe this animal is going to win just because she's always close. Just doesn't win often. This entrant ran a quite unimpressive speed figure last time out. She shouldn't improve and will likely get beat today running that fig.
STRAIGHT WAGERS: Put your money on #3 LOVE LIKE CRAZY on the nose if you can get odds of 7/5 or more
