NBA (545) MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES VS (546) UTAH JAZZ
Take: (546) UTAH JAZZ
The Minnesota Timberwolves (32-27) are set to face the Utah Jazz (14-44) on Friday, February 28, 2025 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The Timberwolves are currently holding the 7th seed in the Western Conference, aiming to secure a guaranteed postseason spot. They had to play last night at the Lakers and looked very run down as the offense never really got it going in a 102-111 loss. Now they have to play the 2nd of a back-to-back spot here tonight and had to travel to Utah for the game. The team is dealing with significant injuries: forward Julius Randle is sidelined with a right adductor strain, guard Donte DiVincenzo is out indefinitely due to a left toe sprain, and rookie guard Terrence Shannon Jr. is expected to miss 2-4 weeks because of a foot injury. Additionally, star guard Anthony Edwards is listed as questionable for the upcoming game. The Jazz have been struggling this season, currently positioned at the bottom of the Western Conference standings. They have lost four of their last five games, including a recent 118-101 defeat to the Sacramento Kings. The team is also facing injury challenges, with forward John Collins listed as questionable due to low back soreness, and guard Collin Sexton dealing with an ankle injury. In their previous encounter on January 30, 2025, the Timberwolves dominated the Jazz with a 138-113 victory. During that game, Minnesota showcased a strong offensive performance, shooting 59.8% from the field and making 21 of 38 three-point attempts. The Wolves are by far the better team, but having played last night and travelling to get here for this game, I'll take the points with the home team tonight. Play Utah.
