Analysis: NCAA Tournament first game up pins two 16 seeds in Dayton, Ohio. Jumping on Alabama St in the short favorite role against St. Francis. The Alabama St Hornets came on late in the season winning each of their last six games and 10 of the last 11 overall. The Hornets have been printing money going (9-2) against the spread since early February. The oddsmakers are underpricing this squad again on Tuesday. This opener features two of the worst conferences in the nation, both the Northeast and SWAC ranked at or near the bottom of most metrics a whole. However, St. Francis's path to get here was very fortunate. The Red Flash beat only one team ranked in the top 280 nationally since early November and that was in the Conference Championship Game to punch their ticket. The #1 seed in the Northeast Conference, C. Connecticut went a horrendous (17 of 56) from the floor and still only lost by 3 points. Alabama St should fair drastically better behind two solid guards in Amarr Knox and CJ Hines. The SWAC won and covered last year in this game vs a drastically better Montana St team in comparison to this St. Francis squad. Wager good through the number of (-6). Bet Alabama St. |

(CLICK TO SHOP) Our selection is on the St. Louis/ Nashville game OVER 5 1 /2 5% GOOD AT 6 This is just a really bad spot for both clubs in this game tonight and that makes for one of many reason to take this game OVER the total. St. Louis is playing their 3 RD game in 4 nights and really have had some weird scheduling the past couple of weeks. After a 6 game road trip that finished Saturday night they played at home on Sunday against the Ducks (scored 7 goals) and now they come to Nashville to play the Preds. Nasty spot and thus lack of defense will prevail. As for Nashville first home after a 3 game road trip which they did not show much offense. In fact, one of our favorite spots to bet a team OVER if they were shutout in their last game. In fact, Nashville have scored once in their last two games. That will change tonight. Now let’s look at what these two teams do when they get together. They have gone OVER the total in 9 of their last 10 games. That includes a 7-4 St Louis victory on December 27 TH. There is no doubt with the lack of scoring of late from the Predators they have been trending UNDER. However, the scheduling spot for both clubs we believe comes in to play in this one. The Blues have one of the worst PK’s in the league. With Nashville at home and desperate for goals we believe we will see a more offensive side of the Predators tonight. We believe this so much that we will make this a 5% play. So lets get the job done with the St. Louis/ Nashville Game OVER 5 1 /2 |
