    #2
    Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

    Fair Grounds - Race #2
#1 Josh G He'll likely get a decent run while tucked in behind some quicker players on the turn back, but I liked his last a little bit when facing better, and something similar might do the trick here.
#4 Maybe Eye'll Call He drops in for a tag off the bench after that stakes try at Evangeline last summer, but I worry he's going to be overbet in a fairly competitive race.
#5 Jacque Coteau His only local try wasn't much, but it came going long, and he has put things together nicely enough in those two Delta starts since. Wouldn't surprise, but think he lands underneath.
Race Summary Josh G woke up at Delta last out, and that kind of try might be an OK fit with this claiming group after he tried a couple tougher groups here earlier this season.
    Fair Grounds - Race #5
#1 Duvee He came back with a chase-and-fade run off the long break last time out, and he should be tighter with that race under his belt. He's got what should be controlling pace from the inside?
#2 Highland Creek Dangerous guy should be in a great spot to track the top choice throughout, and he has turned in some pretty sharp efforts against tough customers in some of those races on his page.
#5 Kenmore West He drilled a softer group last time out when getting to this trip, and he is quick enough to have a go at the top choice early. Capable with his best.
Race Summary Duvee has some price appeal here after the flat comeback run, but that sprint try should have him set for something better today while stretching out.
    Fair Grounds - Race #9
#12 Native Catalina Not too impressed with anything in here on paper, so take a look at this debuter on the tote and track ahead of this. Think she might be live enough to land this.
#14 Drama Queenie Think she's supposed to be tough with this group after a couple of pretty solid efforts, and she has some positional pace in a race without a ton of serious early burn.
#3 Diamond Country She has had a lot of chances, but she can occasionally flash a little pace that could make her at least a little bit of a danger with these.
Race Summary Native Catalina is a fresh face in a race where I don't trust any of them much, and she might be able to avoid any early trouble from out here with this cheap crew.

      #3
      Frank Carulli's Daily Picks

      Turf Paradise - Race #3
#6 J.C.’S A LEGEND (7-2) Best numbers, proper spot to break long winless drought.
#3 RACER REX (4-1) In peak form, held off trio of closers to break maiden.
#5 TENFORTHEBIGGUY (5-2) ‘Set solid pace’ in maiden win for $25,000 two back.
Race Summary J.C.’S A LEGEND sparred for the lead before the favorite passed by two starts back at this level, then he bobbled at the break on the class rise and couldn’t reach the pace-controlling winner. Bet to win and place in a field that is a combined 0-for-26 at 6F. Also play a 3-5-6 exacta box.
      Turf Paradise - Race #4
#4 SPAGLIATO (9-2) California invader switches barns again, one of many with a chance in here.
#1 WODETON (5-1) Has a win and two seconds since re-claim, draws the rail.
#8 WELLSWORT (6-1) First or second in 8 of 17 on lawn, most in photo finishes.
Race Summary SPAGLIATO rallied for photo-finish victories at Del Mar and Santa Anita in the fall and should sit an ideal stalking trip for his new connections at a distance which he conquered twice. He will need his A-game in a field that includes five $70,000-plus earners. Bet to win and place and play 4-1 and 4-8 exactas.
      Turf Paradise - Race #6
#3 PASSION OF JOE’S (5-1 Takes class hike off game try as the beaten favorite at 6-1/2F.
#9 TOM AND JAZZY (12-1) Rough start in latest, returns for higher tag after vet voided claim.
#4 FREEZE ‘EM (5-2) Popped on the class drop when last seen two months ago, enters new barn.
Race Summary PASSION OF JOE’S is 7/2-2-0 at 6F, while his eight rivals are a combined 2-for-40. He enters off a near miss as the favorite in a longer sprint when he dueled through fast fractions. Bet to win and place and play 3-4 and 3-9 exactas.
