Fair Grounds - Race #5

#7 Great Moment	Think there could be some upside here on the move to turf, and there are enough other appealing options in here to think the price will stay plenty playable.
#2 Advanced Spirit	He's bred to win early for a capable team, and I think this race is begging for someone who can kick on with a little enthusiasm late -- could be him.
#6 Restore	There are a couple of races on the page that stack up well, and something like that last one probably keeps him right in the frame again. Wouldn't argue with the believers.
Race Summary	Great Moment has not shown a whole lot yet, but I am hoping there is some upside on the move over to turf today -- there are a couple of nice names in his company lines, too.

Fair Grounds - Race #6

#5 Episist	There is a shocking lack of decent form on paper here, and this fresh face may not have to be a star to make some noise here at first asking.
#4 Protocol	Same story here as the top choice, but guessing this one will take more tote action for the Cox barn. Guessing one of these debuters will settle the score.
#2 Mama Bourbon	Going on top with nothing but new faces in this one -- get a look at her on the tote and track, too, because this team can send them live.
Race Summary	There is some work to do ahead of this one, especially as those with racing experience have a lot of work to do to bring a winning effort. That means try to dig into tote action and see how the new ones look in the parade.

Fair Grounds - Race #8

#9 Kalil	He stayed on OK last out at that short two-turn trip at Delta, and he's just not meeting any really serious pace in this spot today. Strong lean on the engine.
#10 Awree	He handled a route trip on the turf well last time out, and he looks like the main danger to the top choice if that one gets weary in the lane. Still, not sure he gets the setup, especially at a trip that can often advantage forward players.
#3 Mo Diva	She might be just tactical enough to keep the top choice in her sights, and she landed a couple underneath shares at this trip last season.
Race Summary	Kalil should be right up on the engine in this one, but he can also press just a tiny bit of one of the other two with any semblance of speed want to have a go for it. Think he's going to be very tough here -- single on the back end.

FLY COMMANDER - The 71 recent race speed rating looks good on paper. The return on investment when Marin and Ochoa hook up is fantastic. I like this gelding. Has the topmost earnings per race in this one. This horse has increased his speed ratings in each of the last two races. That kind of progress is worth considering when its time to bet. MR. SWEETS - Diaz is back for another race today after riding aboard this animal for the first try on March 1st and ought to know the ropes to this one a little better.
