Evangeline Downs - Race #1

#10 Strummin Mary	She chased and quit going long last out, and the recent form isn't much to look at, but she's not too far removed from a couple sprint tries in New Orleans that would probably stack up OK here, and the price should be right to see if she can find that kind of run on the cutback today.
#1 Classy Mimi	She has some pace from the fence, and it might be sharp enough to control things in a race with a few other forward players but not an overload of serious sprint speed. Chance.
#2 Don't Be Bossy	She has a little bit of ability to get past horses at this kind of trip, and the move back around one turn should work in her favor.
Race Summary	Strummin Mary has some midrange price appeal while cutting back to a one-turn race. Hoping she's running on late with a bounce-back run today.

Evangeline Downs - Race #7

#6 Miss Dealority	Think she might find herself in a good spot while in range throughout while drawing really well to sit just behind a couple quicker pace players. Lots to like at what should be an OK price.
#2 Suzy Doll's Ready	Reliable tactical type might get a similar trip to the top choice, and they weren't separated by much in that common race in February at Delta.
#4 Lovelyredstilettos	Speed took a tiny bit of cash when 12/1 in stakes company last out before fading, but she finds an easier spot today and might be the most committed early player.
Race Summary	Miss Dealority can sit just a touch off the splits early here, and that could give her a slight jump on some of the players who want to run just a touch later at this short trip.

Evangeline Downs - Race #8

#9 Little Millie	Not sure she's going to offer the 10/1 ML price here, but I liked her debut run in New Orleans and think that should set her up for something a bit tighter today. Won't need to stay a whole lot better than that to land this.
#12 She's a Bandit	Wish she would have shown a little bit more when dropping in for a tag, but that was a pretty tame fade late at 2/1 for twice this price. Obvious player, but the price probably won't be that appealing, and she could be heading in the wrong direction.
#3 Neon Moonlight	She was tactical enough going two turns at Delta last out, and I like the way she stacked up when dropping from special weight company for the first time. In the mix.
Race Summary	Little Millie showed a little pace at a big price in the debut try, and that kind of run could set her up for something dangerous here if she moves forward at all with that run under her belt.

Race Summary	FEAST survived a duel with the co-favorite but couldn’t fend off the trip-sitting winner in the same spot. He returns off a similar freshening and could face a similar task with speedy morning-line favorite AWESOME PRINCE starting to his inside. Bet to win and place and play a 7/3,4/ALL trifecta.

Tampa Bay Downs - Race #4

#5 AZTEC PRINCESS (6-1)	Price shot in second start of year on surface that entrants have struggled on.
#3 GIRLY THE BUTCHER (3-5)	Towers over field on paper but has been bridesmaid in six straight races.
#2 MY JANET (9-2)	Has shown some late interest in crowded fields going long on the turf.
Race Summary	The field is a combined 7-for-101 on the turf, but GIRLY THE BUTCHER looms an overwhelming favorite nonetheless. Take a price stab on AZTEC PRINCESS, who has yet to finish in the money in six starts on the lawn but who was competitive on the Presque Isle Downs synthetic track in the fall while facing 4-1, 3-1 and 8-5 winners. She worked vigorously at Tampa for her seasonal debut, which she might have needed. Bet to win and place and play a 3-5 exacta box.

3rd race – (7) Dr. Park ships in from California and put in a bullet work for this. (5) Military Cruiser had a dismal debut but has been gelded for this try. REGARDING HARRY - You always have to be on the lookout for money generating jock/trainer tandems; we have it right here. Trainer Campo moves this horse to a lower class level to face a less competitive field. Look for a strong performance given this drop. This gelding's last speed rating earned on Mar 20th is number one in last race speed figures. EMPIRE WARRIOR - I think this gelding is very sharp right now. I like the fact that Tubbs brings him back to a race so quickly. You'll be generating money left and right by turning your cash onto this rider/trainer combination. Gelding took a little vacation, but has been racing into shape. GONE GREY - This colt ran well in his last race but just couldn't haul in the winner. Note that he was well clear of the 3rd horse, and looks like a major contender in this field. Sprinters that come back to the races quickly are generally good plays. This thoroughbred coming off a strong effort in the last month is a strong challenger in my book. Look at this pattern of improvement. 49/60/69 are the last 3 speed figs. This colt should be in fine form, this far into his form cycle.

VICTORIOUS NYQUIST - The last time she tried this distance she got a fig good enough to win this affair. This front runner should profit from this shorter distance. Taking a trip down in class; has the capability to make her presence felt. VANISHED - Dropping down in class figure points from her February 12th race at Turfway Park. Based on that knowledge, I will give this one the advantage. Likes to go to the front of the pack and the fact that today is a shorter trip should be favorable. I like this mare. Has the highest earnings per start in here today. MIDNIGHT MUSE - Barbosa rode this horse for the initial time last race out and comes right back this time around. If the early speed horses get weary, this filly will kick into high gear. This filly is probably the best stretch runner in the field. A campaigner coming back this quickly after a sharp race is a good signal. STAGE PRESENCE - When Saez and Kenneally unite on horses the ROI has been terrific at +37. Looking at today's Equibase class figure, this thoroughbred is up against an easier group than last time around the track at Kentucky Downs. Maiden is changing over to the dirt, and may not have liked the turf last out. Has a good chance to break maiden. Came home fast last time around the track at Kentucky Downs. That type of move bodes well for her chances right here.

Hard not to back EMMA TOWN BUD as the top choice for this one. His 88 avg has this gelding among the most respectable speed figs in this one. Had one of the most respectable speed figs of the race in his last outing. I'd recommend using in your wagers. A formidable play in here as he has one of the highest winning pcts in the grouping as well as tremendous credentials all around. DOO WOP KID - He has nice class rankings, averaging 83. Should be considered for a bet in here. Has to be given a look based on the very nice speed rating earned in the most recent race. ACKLES HANOVER - A great win statistic has been earned by interesting entrants beginning from the 1 hole. This fine animal will have to be a wager, based on the very good driver-handler win pct.

High winning rate makes this race horse an excellent pick to take home the dough. The 5 post is on fire here at Miami Valley. More wins than the expected average. DONTFORGETMASTER - When starting from the 4 hole, a well above average win percentage has resulted. Excellent driver Noble should find the pace of today's race to this horse's liking - could be a good wager. THE GREAT EMOTION - May be the most competitive in the field of horses here, showing very nice ratings of late. Avg speed is a solid 93. Heads into this competition with very good TrackMaster class markings in relationship to the group of horses - could be worth a shot.
