Cliff Lee agrees to deal with Phillies

Pitcher Cliff Lee has reached an agreement on a deal with the Philadelphia Phillies late Monday night, a team source told ESPNDallas.com's Richard Durrett.

Lee's agent informed the New York Yankees and Texas Rangers that they're out of the running for the free agent left-hander.

I thought he was going to NY or Texas? When did Phily join the picture and why are earth does it look like he's going to less to sign with Philly?

If they hit like they did in the playoffs this past season, they will lose again though. As much as I love Cliff Lee, they need a right handed power hitter more. They will miss Jayson Werth.
