Seattle enters tonight's game with rookie sensation Michael Pineda on the mound 4-1, 2.01 ERA (my personal AL ROY pick). Texas has been slumping as of late after starting the year out setting a franchise record for consecutive wins at the start of the season. Simply put they were on FIRE. Pineda was handed his only loss of the year by the Rangers at the start of the season and has not looked back since. Although the Rangers roughed him up to start the season Pineda's stuff has gotten stronger with more innings pitched. The Rangers always come out after seeing a pitcher once hitting them better the second round. Now to the odds, the books want people to load up on the stud right hander pitching at home setting the juice low for what would appear to be a 90% chance Pineda will follow his pattern and take care of the Rangers tonight. WRONG, Texas knows how to hit Pineda and with the low O/U of 6' the books are looking for people to hope Pineda shuts the Rangers down hard. I will side with the books in this one and take the LIVE dog and the soft total line in hopes of cashing a nice ticket. GL!
