-Anyone can join the contest at any time.
-Winner is the person with the best win % at the end of the season
-1st place gets $100 Amazon gift card
-2nd place gets $50 Amazon gift card
-3rd place gets an InvestWithSports T-shirt
-Must have a minimum of 50 bets in the tracker by the time the season ends.
-The only bets that count, are those in the tracker, not your personal thread.
-The contest ends after the last game of the season (BCS championship game)
-In the event of a tie, the Prize will be split evenly.
-If I win, I will give the prize to the next place finsher.

Cougar paw. First mascot (Shasta I) lost a toe in the cage door on the way to UH's first ever meeting with UT in '53. The UT fans started it as a taunt. The next meeting was a tie. In 1976 when we joined the SWC, we blew 'em out 30-0, and we still do that to remember. Just another college tradition.

Good stuff man.

Thanks. I like stories about why things are the way they are. Similar story about the UT mascot. Got its name from an A&M prank. The rivalry goes back over a hundred years. Until the A&M bonfire collapse a few years back, it was about the biggest one out there. The lyrics to both schools' fight songs are about beating the other school.

Back in the fifties (I think) after the annual meeting between the two, some A&M students branded the score (13-0) on the UT steer. In response, UT changed it to read BEVO. That became the mascot's name.
