    TB/NYJ: Thinking Out Loud

Like some others, I was surprise that this line didn't jump after the announcement that rookie Geno Smith will be starting for the Jets. But the more I think about it, I am thinking that the lack of movement is most likely because it was pretty much a given that Geno was starting.

I mean, who else was there? Sanchez is hurt, Brady Quinn was just signed and obviously doesn't know the playbook and Simms is there simply as a clipboard holder.

At the time, my three books have just increased the odds on the line instead of moving off of the 3. Now only one moved it to -3.5 (-110). Since my local never increases the juice, I might just wait to see what he has and see if I can get -3 at -110.

As much as I hate rookie QBS, and I think Tampa will be a lot better this year, this is one game I think I will stay away from, as it is shaping up to be a near 90-10 split on the Bucs. Looks like a stay away game for me.

yeah, that is the one issue I have. So many on one side and not much movement. However, people don't always mean money. But it is hard to believe that 90% on one side doesn't equal lopsided money.

Good preview of this game looking at last year's teams and personel changes. A lot of questions on both sides of the ball for both teams. I see why the line is where it is. You'd think TB is the better team but the question is can they actually play like it? Will Freeman play good or bad? I think that is the reason. with QB issues on the Jets, sportsbooks have no choice than to make the Bucs favorites. And with the questions about Freeman, they aren't sure about increasing that line.
