I'm SO glad the GIANTS renegotiated and extended his contract thru 2012 to make him one of the top paid receivers in the league in Sept. His production this year? Well, here's some numbers...

In his first three years with the Giants, Burress caught 209 passes for 3,227 yards and 29 touchdowns - averages of just under 70 catches, 1,100 yds and 10 TDs per year.

This year, thru 11 games, he has 35 catches, 454 yds, and 4 TDs, and before the shooting (that will cause him to miss at least 2 games) he was on pace for 51 catches, 660 yds, and 6 TDs, now looking more like 41 catches, 575 yds, and 5 TDs...

I'm not sure, but he may be pretty smart after all...
