Maybe he didnt make them worse but he doenst help to make them better.
I dont think it ever makes your team better when you have players that only worry about their selves like Plax and Shockey did.I think it screws up the chemistry of the team . They asked Manning if he liked Shockey being out last year and he said it made him less nervous because he felt he had to get a certain amount of passes to Shockey a game or he'd complain .He also said the caused he to force the ball a lot and led to INT's

I think the Giants would have beat the Pats without Plax

...perhaps because he has a nice shiny SB ring from 1991 & the days he used to call GIANTS STADIUM his home - do recall that he was Big Tuna's DC for the GIANTS prior to going to the Pats...

I do realize that the Pats have been more successful at executing the Giants' LONGSTANDING draft/talent-eval scheme over the past decade or so, but I am SO very tired of hearing people praise the Pats & "the omnipotent" Bill Belichick for stealing (perhaps a strong word, how about "adopting") the Giants philosophy here and taking all the credit!

I'll get off my soapbox now... thank you for letting me get this out there!

I'm looking to cash 3 futures bets on the GIANTS to win the SB TY after cashing same LY!

Got them the day after the SB @ 12-1, again after Stray retired @ 15-1, and once more after Osi went down and it jumped to 25-1.

I just hope I don't lose it all on the NBA again, like I seem to do every year...

I still have a future bet on Tampa Bay at 30-1 to win the Superbowl.

I still think the Giants will repeat though.

Its funny last year when they won the Superbowl I thought it was a fluke and now they are still the best team around
