I do not see Philly as a team that is "happy to be here". They were quite lucky to make the playoffs, no doubt, but they have a lot of experience, and could make some noise in the playoffs this year. Over the last 7 games of the season, the Eagles have allowed more than 14 points 2x, and set a franchise record for least amount of penalties with 74.
The Vikings had to recieve 2 extensions from the NFL to sell tickets, in order to avoid a local TV Blackout, selling nearly 20,000 tickets over the past week. According to FoxSports.com, 45 percent of season ticket holders declined to buy playoff tickets. I wonder how many Eagle fans bought tickets?
The Eagles should be able to handle the Minnesota Offense, allowing just 3.41 yds/rush (4th in NFL), the Eagles Defense is 2nd in the NFL in 3rd down conversions, allowing opponents to convert on just 32.2% of 3rd downs (2nd in NFL). If Philly is effective at limiting AP and the rushing attack of the Vikings, Minnesota may be in for a long day, as the Vikings rank 30th in the NFL in Negative Pass Plays at 12.1 % (Sack or Interception), while the Eagles rank near the top at 11% (3rd in NFL).
