    Thoughts headed into week 1

I would love to see a weekly thread where everyone contributes what they can in terms of league/team trends for the upcoming slate of games and throws them into one, easy to use/find thread. As the week goes on I will be adding to this as time allows, and invite everyone to contribute any information they care to share.

    FWIW:

Only 2 of the last 10 Super Bowl losing teams have made the playoffs the following year, 5 of the 10 ten had winning records SU, and 3 of 10 had winning records ATS. Things have started poorly for these teams, as the loser of the Super Bowl has gone 2-8 SU, and 1-8-1 ATS over the last 10 years.

The last 9 SuperBowl Champs are 9-0 SU, and 7-1-1 ATS in week 1 defending thier title as Super Bowl Champions.

I'm not much for trends but I'll be willing to put my 2 cents in on any game anyone wants to hear about

Game One dogs that finished 4-12 or worse each of the last two seasons are 10-1 ATS ( this week applies to Cleveland, Detroit, KC, St. Louis)

NFL teams who won one or fewer games the previous season are 24-12-1 ATS as dog of more than 10 points
the following season – the same role in which Miami (+12.5) beat New England, 38-13, last season. Those same teams are 6-1 SU and 7-0 ATS in
