I have seen Rome, was just asking.
I thought about the Wire too, but what I read, it was more of plot driven series, like law and order? No real characters of character development... it is more about the city of Baltimore? Is that right?
I want to go ahead and watch GoT episodes from season 2, but I know I will be annoyed at the cliffhangers they do on every episode. I like to wait until the season is done and watch it all one after the next. Really, I prefer to wait until the whole series is done, but a buddy gave me his GoT blu rays, so I decided to watch it.Comment

As for Game of Thrones, the bad news on that front is that it may never really end. There are supposed to be 7 books, and they seem to be doing one season per book. GRRM has lately been writing the books at a rate of about 1 every 5 years and book 5 came out not that long ago. Also many people (including myself) think the books start to go off the rails a bit with volumes 4 and 5, especially with regard to adding tons of new characters and plotlines instead of wrapping up old ones. I do still have hope that the HBO series will motivate him to write faster and things will wrap up in the last two books.Comment

I second what others are saying about the Wire; there are well-developed and engaging characters.

In any event, I started on Breaking bad. I am going to catch up on that, and then hopefully by the time I catch up, GoT2 will be done. I am definitely going to watch the Wire next. So I am pretty well set on TV for 2012. Feels right.2012: +19.33
