The Wire is the best show i've watched. Characters are developed extensively each season. Each season focuses on a different side of Baltimore. Many characters continue through the 5 seasons. You just have to watch it and decide for yourself.I have seen Rome, was just asking.
I thought about the Wire too, but what I read, it was more of plot driven series, like law and order? No real characters of character development... it is more about the city of Baltimore? Is that right?
I want to go ahead and watch GoT episodes from season 2, but I know I will be annoyed at the cliffhangers they do on every episode. I like to wait until the season is done and watch it all one after the next. Really, I prefer to wait until the whole series is done, but a buddy gave me his GoT blu rays, so I decided to watch it.Comment

I second what others are saying about the Wire; there are well-developed and engaging characters.I thought about the Wire too, but what I read, it was more of plot driven series, like law and order? As for Game of Thrones, the bad news on that front is that it may never really end. There are supposed to be 7 books, and they seem to be doing one season per book. GRRM has lately been writing the books at a rate of about 1 every 5 years and book 5 came out not that long ago. Also many people (including myself) think the books start to go off the rails a bit with volumes 4 and 5, especially with regard to adding tons of new characters and plotlines instead of wrapping up old ones. I do still have hope that the HBO series will motivate him to write faster and things will wrap up in the last two books.Comment

Yeah, really don't see Nick winning that... He last competed in bjj a few years ago against Lucas Leite, who is multiple notches below Braulio, and Leite beat him. It was competitive though, mostly because Nick wouldn't concede the takedown. If he comes to play the takedown game with Braulio, he could make it close. If he goes to the mat with him, the only question is whether Nick gets subbed or loses on points. Braulio has some solid wrestling though, so he will probably be able to get Nick down.
Braulio is coming to MMA in July too, so I look forward to that.2012: +19.33

I will just do one season at a time, I will probably wait until about 2 weeks before season 2 ends and start watching season 2. HBO has been pretty good about not letting shows drag on in the past. Oz is the only series I have seen from HBO that felt like it should have ended much earlier. Sopranos ended well, Entourage maybe went a season too long...I second what others are saying about the Wire; there are well-developed and engaging characters.

In any event, I started on Breaking bad. I am going to catch up on that, and then hopefully by the time I catch up, GoT2 will be done. I am definitely going to watch the Wire next. So I am pretty well set on TV for 2012. Feels right.2012: +19.33
