Can not even imagine a ninja movie at this point. Their time has passed. Ninja Assassin was pure trash.

False! Ninja Assassin was cool. I actually own it on Blu-Ray.

Hunted was good, but just would not fly today.

Of course with the right backing and writers you could make a good ninja movie...hell, you could make a good movie about anything. Chris Nolan(Dark Night, Inception) could make a good ninja movie. And Christian Bale could play a good ninja...he proved it in Batman Begins.

That's really not true. But I usually choose to watch movies that I think I will like and avoid shit that I think I won't. And I'm usually pretty good about making good decisions.

I didn't think that Ninja Assassin was great, but it was a good time. The ninjas were were well-depicted, Rain did well, the choreography was good, the scenes in Japan were awesome, and it had Sho fucking Kosugi. Was it perfect? No. But considering there's been like a decade-long drought on ninja movies, I was pretty happy with it.

Hunted was good, but just would not fly today.

Why not? It was certainly the most realistic ninja movie I've ever seen.

The first Turtles movie still stands up pretty well today, in my opinion. Unlike the sequels, it was a genuinely good film.

Interesting trivia: Secret of the Ooze was lighter in tone and more cartoony because parent groups complained about the dark tone, violence and profanity of the first film.
