I've actually had the website up for most of the night debating over where I'm ready and willing to spend $700 for the training materials.
When you get it, move down here. The local YMCA is hiring part time personal trainers. (That actually makes me want to get that cert even more now)

Now there is a job worth re-locating to one of the most expensive areas in the country for- part time trainer at the YMCA. I hear Wal-Mart is hiring part time stockers in Manhattan SPX, something to consider.

Is SW Florida really one of the most expensive areas in the country?

          No.

But my point still stands. One does not relocate for a shitty job like PT trainer at the Y. I know a guy that makes over $100k as a personal trainer in Las Vegas though.

Where do you live again? I thought you were somewhere south of Tampa?

I was kidding, I hope you realize that.

North Port, it's about 90 min or so south of Tampa.

I actually looked it up, Tampa actually has a very low cost of living. I always thought it was higher... it is cheaper in Tampa than here in Evansville, Indiana. I have never been, but Tampa must suck a lot more than I thought it did. SLC is also more expensive than Tampa.

So maybe that pt job is worth the move, if you like rednecks, old people, cubans, hurricanes, republicans, and sun burns.

If you want a better take on the kids-killing-kids idea, then watch the Japanese film "Battle Royale."

Maybe you should listen to the first book as well, considering it's guaranteed to have a lot more content than the movie.

Excellent series. I keep meaning to download season 2 episode 1.

                    BOL.

If I actually did become a trainer, I'm not sure I'd want to work for a gym. Seems like independent is the way to go.

I will check that out. I read "Lord of the Flies" when I was a kid, and I really find the idea of kids devolving much more interesting and realistic than it being thrust upon them Running Man style by the big bad evil empire. Like I said, I thought it was entertaining, but the premise is too weak and flawed for me. That and the bad guys were far too simple and twisty mustachy for my taste. The kids that were the bad guys... If I was on that team, I would have murdered all my "teammates" in their sleep to ensure my survival.

In related news, I watched Winter's Bone a few weeks back, with that same chick as the lead. That was a fine movie that I really enjoyed and recommend. -

I haven't seen the Hunger Games, but I did like the Battle Royale twist of giving each kid a totally random weapon, a lottery in which some kids get completely screwed.

Season 2 of GoT is off to a good start. I think some of the best episodes for Tyrion are coming up.

I think the premise is okay, but the execution was lacking. I really think that with a better script and better director that the movie would have been a lot better. So basically, I don't blame the concept.
