I actually think Gus could take Nog down if he chooses to. In fact, I think he will.

Also on "UFC Tonight" and Twitter, Helwani gave some interesting insight into how Tuesday's main event announcement of Alexander Gustafsson vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira came together. According to Helwani, Dana White originally offered Nogueira to Dan Henderson but Hendo turned the fight down. The plan was that if Rashad Evans defeated Phil Davis at UFC On Fox 2, he would get the next shot at current champion Jon Jones with the Hendo/Nogueira winner being next in line for a title shot. Helwani said Henderson's next fight is in limbo as a result.

WTF would Hendo take a fight with Lil Nog? That's like 5 steps backwards after fighting Shogun. And why would Lil Nog even be in a #1 contenders fight after going 1-2 in his last 3 fights.................gay

Just give Hendo Bones Jones if he wants him .

So they are relying on Rashad to beat Davis...what if Davis wins? They just want to set Rashad/Jones up @ UFC 146 in Atlanta because it's chocolate nation there in regards to the population.

I propose Hendo/Bones UFC 145 in March. Winner of Rashad/Davis gets winner of that summer time.

I think Hendo / Jones makes sense. If you think about it, Hendo probably would have had the best year in MMA for the last several years if it hadn't been for Jones' insane year. Winning the Strikeforce title from Feijao, beating Fedor, triumphing in an epic fight with Rua...

He has a good shot too. His ability to one shot ok being the reason.

I can't see him beat Jones whatsoever but I see him giving Silva problems.

Yeah jones should have a massive reach advantage but Dan seems to have a way of making things dirty

That's kind of an odd fight. Odd timing at least.

So does this mean Siver is officially going down to 145?
                              I heart cock

Yeah, it's at featherweight this time. I think the match up is dumb...that's two FW contenders they can promote..why knock one off?
