I was just watching an interview with jake shields and he mentioned how the altitude in colorado takes a lot of energy out of him. That could benefit frankie edgar in the title fight. Bendo is a bit bigger and could tire. It makes me think about the rest of the fights.
Am i the only one that thinks ed herman can take it? Ne seemed like his takedown defense was pretty decent against starks. His bjj is good too. I would think shields path to victory is outwrestling him for 3 rounds.
I agree, Herman can definatly win this. I'm gonna look.into it, I may be betting him. And Hendo completely gasses in that fight.
Well, Jake Shields even said himself training has been rough since he got there. I think the theory is true....lots of fighters even say so. There is a reason why fighters relocate their camp to altitude as well
Is it just me or did Herman kind of look like shit before the sub in his last fight?
No.
Starks is a big strong wrestler and was clinching Herman against the cage unable to get the TD. Starks landed some good single punches but nothing crazy... Herman ended up taking Starks down pretty easily when he decided to shoot on him at the end of round 1.
I think that if Starks could do as well as he did then what the fuck do you think Shields is going to do?
BTW, in case anyone is confused, no one gave the first round to Herman. Junkie and Sherdog gave it to Starks across the board, as did I, with Junkie even saying that "it's an impressive one for Starks." He got beat, plain and simple, because he was very inexperienced when it came to good submission artists.
