    Strikeforce: Rockhold vs Kennedy

    Grabbed Nate at -125.

As long as he can fight at the same level at WW that he did at MW, he should take this. His striking is superior and I think he can handle whatever Woodley throws him in the wrestling department. Even if Woodley wins the first round, he will gas as always and Nate will take over.

If this was a 3 round fight, I would be all over Woodley. But Woodley has shown some shit conditioning in the past (Nate Coy, Tarec Saffiedine). I never saw the Jordan Mein fight, did he tire in that one as well?

If I saw that fight I really don't remember it. From my recollection though Woodley has never NOT gassed.

I think that even if it were a 3 rounder we'd be looking at 29-28 Marquardt.

I think stylistically this match up favors Woodley, but I really cannot trust his conditioning. Nate might pull it off. I will probably stay away unless anybody becomes a decent dog. I will look at videos more later.

Nate never rarely gets really outclassed in the grappling department. He was holding his own against both Okami and Palhares. I really think he can handle Woodley.

My only concern is that we just don't know what kind of fighter Nate is at WW.

                  PRELIMINARY ACTION:
PORTLAND’S OWN PAT HEALY HAS VERBALLY AGREED TO FIGHT MIZUTO HIROTA
                  JORDAN MEIN vs. TYLER STINSON
                  JASON HIGH vs. NATE MOORE
They just need to give Healy the title shot. He is going to rape Hirota.

Today on The MMA Hour Nate Marquardt said he's no longer on TRT. I've been told when you start it, you're on it for life. So many questions.
hmm...so maybe he didn't actually need TRT, because that's a true statement. Nate is a big cheater. Regardless, this is going to effect him. If he was using testosterone for a long period of time, his testosterone levels are more than likely going to be naturally tanked right now, or at least pretty damn low.

Really curious to see how he does now.

he obviously didn't need it. None of them do. He was busted once before for something else too. Mir, now he obviously needs it. Steroids is one of the many reasons I am losing interest in MMA (and comp bjj, where the problem is even worse).

Randy Couture probably needed it. Maybe Dan Henderson too.

The need it to be competitive. "Need" it in the way we think of medicine... no. Randy would have been in better shape than 99% of the 45 year olds in the world without TRT. Same with Hendo. They need it to stay competitive with 25 year olds, the same way Barry Bonds "needs" the clear to hit 70 home runs and Roger Clemens "needs" vitamin B to throw 98 mph fast balls at 44 years old.
