    Nailed it, PP.

Igor is such a queer for that shit. I was actually feeling kind of good about my chances at the beginning of the 2nd, too.

    From my "write up":

"As for Pokrajac, he has a tendency to back his opponents up against the cage, throw combinations and immediately shoot in for a takedown. As long as Igor isn't a total idiot, he will not do this against Magalhaes."

Pokrajac shot in for the takedown, and then:

Given Jones' style, I would think the toughest opponents for him would be top wrestlers. But he blasted through Hamill, Matyushenko, and Bader early on his road to the belt. It's hard to imagine any LHW guy taking him down now.

I guess I was okay with it, considering he was having pretty much 0% success on the feet and DID almost finish the fight with that armbar. (Wouldn't that have been fucking sweet?)

On the other hand I also think it would've been nice to see him just go for fucking broke with his boxing.

The more I think about Vitor's gameplan against Jones, the more I like it. He was clearly trying to emphasize his bjj and get a win by submission. Of course, that hasn't historically been how Vitor wins most of his fights. But when you consider that Jon Jones had just fought four very solid strikers who tried to beat him with a striking gameplan and made absolutely no progress, and the fact that there was no way Vitor was going to get his TDD to the level where he could reliably keep it standing, focusing on trying to catch a sub off his back seems like the best chance. Against a guy who has yet to show a major weakness, it's smart to try a strategy that hasn't been tried against him before.

I bet mostly underdogs for this card. Stann, Swanson, Gagnon, Grant and also Baczynski as the only favorite.
