You really think Che mills takes out Riddle? How is his takedown defense?

Mills/Riddle: This one opened even but I can't decide on it. At the current line I like Riddle because I think he could potentially have an advantage on the ground. Che Mills does seem to pack some power and skill in his hands though. If anyone can point out to me where he has been able to demonstrate solid takedown defense I would be happy to watch the fight. Rory took him down at will IIRC. Of course that is Rory who is much better than Riddle.

Cyrille Diabate/Jimi Manuwa: Manuwa is a beast that I don't want to bet against. That said, Diabate is a very experienced Muay thai fighter with a decent enough ground game. He should be the favorite in this but Manuwa looks like he could kill a man with his punches. If Diabates line creeps up I may bet him. He is getting old though.

I think Gunnar wins. I know he came close to winning in ADCC and according to Renzo gracie he has great striking and can become a champion. I don't know how Jorge Santiago will perform but he is a game opponent. He has looked like shit in the UFC so far though. Maybe I am giving him too much credit. Maia could control him without subbing him so I doubt Gunnar will be tapping him out. He may or may not be able to control him for 15 minutes. That is what worries me. Santiago could catch him standing or maybe even stop his takedowns. He is a fairly big guy coming down in weight from 185.

I like Te Huna over Jimmo but I would have liked a better line than -215. I feel like Te hunas will be able to overwhelm him and take him down. Jimmo is a much better striker though. His takedown defense is also pretty decent and he moved his camp down to the blackzilians. I don't know how that will play out but it seems like they have a good team. It's a tough one to call. I really should go back and watch some Jimmo fight tape. I think it would be worth it. I do think he can probably outwrestle him.

I have some trouble deciding on Poireir/Swanson. Poireir might be able to win on the ground. In fact his ground game makes me a little nervous.

Mcdonald/Barao: I don't know. I guess Barao is the better fighter but Mcdonald is pretty good and packs a big punch. I might bet him.

I think if Riddle comes to wrestle, he can def win the fight and he should right away bc standing with Che Mills is suicide for Riddle. I like Te Huna too. He is more active striker. at -210, I only put a small bet for fun. 1/2u on him lol. My 5dimes account only has 5u in it and looks like its gonna take a awhile to build up. I put 1.35u to win 1u on Swanson. Still need to look into the undercard fights. Just looking at the matches, I like Phil Harris, Tezuka, Watson and Etim.

I may hedge out of Mills. I knew his line would blow up so I took him now. But this is more of a fade against Riddle.

Yeah, the blackzillians have done shitty since they were created.

                  Thanks for the heads-up.

Bet Nedkov for enough to win a unit.

i put 1.1u to win 1u on Watson. hmm I didnt rewatch any vid though, just recall being impressed with him in his fight vs Brad Tavares. Why do you like Nedkov in this fight, X?

I pretty much laughed at Nedkov when he first came into the UFC, but he's impressed me. He had a good win over Luiz Cane (less impressive in retrospect, I guess) and he did much better than expected against Thiago Silva.

I bet Watson against Tavares, and he lost. The same Tavares who was losing to Baroni before the KO and who barely edged out Dongi Yang.

I think Nedkov will keep this on the feet and outstrike him. But I am not all that confident. I think it could go either way.

Nedkov has power but his techniques suck big time. He has wrestling credentials though. He was able to push Thiago Silva against the cage. I dont know if he can take Watson down if he really go for it.

His techniques are raw, but as I think we've seen many times before in MMA, that doesn't mean ineffective. As for taking Watson down, I doubt he'll even try.

Nedkov is a bulgarian wrestling champion. He also won 1st place in some international wrestling tournaments in a few countries according to his ufc profile. He is also a black belt in brazilian jiu jitsu. Watson was taken down at will by jessie taylor and he was taken down quite a bit in his fight against matt horwich. I read the play by plays on the horwich fight.

I just rewatched Tavares Watson. I was also on Watson in that fight. Funny you mention that because I didn't remember until I was watching it. Watson and Tavares were pretty close on the feet. Watson has a good chin. Tavares was able to outwrestle him during the fight. Not the entire time but enough to get him the decision. I think Nedkov will be able to take him down. He was able to put Thiago Silva against the fence for two rounds. Thiago is a big guy and a strong wrestler. Also, NEdkov is dropping down to middleweight. He took the Silva fight after over a year off.

Through a couple units on Nedkov @ +105. Seems like a good bet to me.
