Not sure what they are gonna do for the headliner on this card. I honestly won't be surprised to see Hendo/Machida taken off UFC 156 and be made a headliner here.

I guess they want a squash match to get Rousey over. will probably get cancelled anyway.

It's not the most terrible matchup. Rousey has already beat Kaufman and Tate, and Carmouche did come VERY close to beating both Coenen and Kaufman. Under the circumstances, it may be the only decent choice unless the UFC wants to bring in Sarah McMann.

Rousey is going to have to fight Cyborg... and then.... WMMA will die again. Seriously, what is going to happen after the Rousey/Cyborg fight? There is nothing left. If I were a Japanese promoter, I would be out persuading any Judo Gold Medal winners to come into MMA. If nothing else, they would be almost guaranteed one big pay day.

According to Sherdog, no one Carmouche has beaten in her 7-2 career currently has a winning record.

There are a lot of good fighters getting groomed in Invicta. If the UFC would rape and pillage that org then they could have a good 135 lb division.

Just because there's a dominant champ doesn't mean there's not a division or that there are not matchups to be made. Cruz, Aldo, GSP, Silva and Jones are all quite dominant, but those divisions are still fully-functioning.

Carmouche's performances speak for themselves. She beat Coenen's ass for 3 rounds before Coenen got that triangle locked up. And her fight with Kaufman, another former champ, was also quite close.

I agree, her two losses were maybe her two best fights.
