Yeah, that's the complaint. Then when you add the things like Sonnen and Diaz getting title shots, it really looks like the UFC has made its decision to go the entertainment first route rather than the true sporting route.

I guess it is a business first and foremost. Dana and the fertittas did build the UFC into what it is today so they should be able to do what they want. I still think the cut was wrong. He is too highly ranked. Shouldn't have happened. It's not like he is getting paid millions and putting on boring fights. I bet there was something else going on.1 unit = 300 $Comment

No way Fitch shoulda got cut. Volkmann prolly shouldn't have either. And Sonnen or Diaz sure the fuck shouldn't be getting title shots.Comment

I also have 4u on Robertson. I think he's going to edge the striking battle and also goes for td more than Jardine. He is also the more active striker but Jardine has power so anything can happen.
Also anyone looked at the Chiesa-Kuivanen fight? I am big on Anton Kuivanen, fading Chiesa. He got alot of credit with the TUF win but he didnt look that impressive to me. Anton got taken down quite alot in his last 2 fights but he's shown good wrestling, good cardio and can take the other guy down also. He looked quite well rounded to me. Chiesa only had sub game. He cant strike. If he cant take Kuivanen down, Kuivanen is going to embarrass him on the feet, even with the height and reach disadvantage. If Kuivanen comes in with a good game plan, i think he'll win. maybe even end it itd. I already had 8u on Kuivanen, tempted to add another 2u. I believe it is a good bet, win or lose.Comment

I think he should only be a slight dog, so I bet a little bigger @+180. Jardine may be the better striker and is a decent wrestler, but Robertson isn't that bad in the wrestling department himself. He got wrestled up by Simpson and Pierce...that's not too bad. One thing that worries me is Robertson's cardio though. I'm not that confident he wins, but at the line it warranted a decent sized bet from meComment

I just noticed Burrell pulled a Rumble: Preliminary bout fighter Nah-Shon Burrell – a Strikeforce transfer – weighed in well over the 171-pound welterweight allowance at 175.8 pounds. His opponent, Yuri Villefort, agreed to take the fight at that weight and will receive a percentage of Burrell’s fight purse. (from Yahoo)
He's gonna get cut.Comment

well no one told him to get fat in between fights. I wish the UFC would go to an IBJJF style weigh in, right before you walk out to fight.2012: +19.33
