That could take a while, years in fact. By then she'll likely have improved her all around game substantially, too. Womens MMA is still in the dark ages. Womens MMA today is about where MMA was in the early late 90s-early2000s. Being great at one thing and being able to implement that one thing will still carry these fighters for a while. Everyone is mostly just a wrestler or just a brawler or just a grappler or just a kickboxer at this point in Womens MMA. Rousey being world class at something gives her an edge since there's not a whole lot you can do in 12 weeks of camp to prepare for someone who could do their thing against the best in the world at that thing, let alone against someone who isn't also an expert at it.

Rousey may pretty much just be a Judoka in MMA, but by the time the rest of this division really starts developing she might have developed good hands and a guard, and she'll still be the best judoka around.

I dunno. Tate took her back. Carmouche took her back AND damn near RNCd her. So it seems to me like the girls out there aren't THAT far behind her grappling wise. And on the feet she's shown very little.

I honestly think if she fought Cyborg the line should be pretty close to even.

I think I might take Cyborg in that one. He is so fuckin powerful, He might just toss her on her takedown attempts and blast her on her feet.

Yeah, I would take Cyborg in that one for sure. Dana doesn't wanting Cyborg coming in and killing the fun like he did when he fought Carano.

I had the same thoughts about rousey. Her department is grappling and she almost got choked out by carmouche. That says a lot. She did get the armbar though, and again in the first round.

I think Rousey is too confident in her grappling and does not care if she is in bad positions because she "knows" she will get out of them. That's not good because all it takes is one mistake. It seems to me that when she goes for the judo throws/trips and fails, she falls straight down or gets put in an awkward position where her back can be taken.

                Yeah.

I think if she keeps fighting at the pace she's been keeping we'll see a loss before a lot of people expect it. I'm really intrigued by the Cyborg fight. That's her biggest test out there right now.

I hope Carmouche made more than that. Faber should also be making more.

I have to say, if I could get $250k to show, I would probably take steroids to prolong my career too. Hendo is making more than I would have thought.

I wouldn't be suprised if hendo, machida and faber got ppv percentages.

Lawler's been around for forever, people know him and he's a fan favorite, so it doesn't surprise me that he's making money. I don't think he should be making more than Faber, though. (Faber should be making more, not Robbie less.)
