Yeah I guess I was wrong. My situation is just different than his because I am in a program where it's a branch of a University..I'm not at the main campus. So the schedule is extremely limited.

YEAH X GO GET A DAMN JOB OR 5.

Poopoo....X.......sorry, but a school schedule isnt an excuse. He has the University of Utah right down the road from him and most schools have classes all day and night .They should have classes no matter when you work. Like Zak said, if you work 6-2, take classes 3-8 ( like I did) and so on. No, its not easy. I'll lost a few years off my life while in my college ,and was tired all the time, but I finished four years of college in three. I know you are working a bunch of hours poopoo so this isnt directed at you. I'm just saying school shouldnt be an excuse for work

I'm not trying to be mean ,but its hard for me to side with the school excuse when I just did it. X, you sleep more in one day than I slept in three while I was in school.

I get the school thing, but at this point, at his age, school should be working around the work schedule, not the other way around. Otherwise, hes just going to be in the same situation, because that perfect job that fits is probably not going to come along anytime soon, althought I hope it does for Him.

Im sure the local college has night classes if He has to work a 9-5. working at night? Go to school during the day? Working 3rd shift or overnight? Go in the morning after work.

I went to community college after work for a while after work, and I know its a bitch, but it can be done.

I thought He wasnt even in school anymore?

^^well the whole "making it work with the school schedule" thing is pretty important in my opinion. If his education is what is going to get him a solid job down the road he definitely needs to work around that. I'm working a ridiculous amount of hours but I was fortunate enough to get two jobs that I could work around school. There is a chance one job might have to go next semester because of my schedule for school (I'll be getting more hours at the other place unfortunately...I hate that I have to actually work there)

Edit: on the other hand, if X is going to school to graduate with some bullshit degree that won't land him a job (which is what seems to be the common trend...and then talk about how college is a waste because they can't get a job...OH YOU ARE HAVING A HARD TIME BEING A SOCIOLOGIST?!?!?!?) then maybe it's time to reevaluate.

You holding out for a CEO position or something? If your situation is critical, you need to be willing to work anywhere. I know your gonna be mad, but you need to grow the fuck up man, there is work out there, it may not be what you want but if you want a job, get on monster.com and start applying for everything and take what you can get. Otherwise, its hard for people that work 40+ hours a week to sympathise with you.

Something tells me we mutually agreed that it's not a good fit. I walked out feeling like I didn't really want to work there, and it's also not the kind of job that would be willing to work with me at all about my school schedule. Not sure if they'll call or not, but I don't really expect them to anyway.

I actually have another interview tomorrow. The pay isn't as good as I'd like and the place is like an hour away, but it's more than I'm making now and the hours are steady.

    Thanks for asking.
