Is he though? I find this hard to qualify because I barely consider Goldberg a 'play-by-play' guy. He's mostly a catch-phrase-spouting automaton and ad-reader. Rogan seems to fill in the gaps as some sort of awkward play-by-play/color commentator/over-excited-fan amalgamation.

I'll say this shit, every time I listen to a card with Kenny and Anik commentating I'm like, Oh God, not this shit again. At this point Goldie is like an old friend who comes to visit on Saturdays and I am always happy to see him. And when he--or Rogan--is missing then I always feel like the broadcast suffers. I just don't see how anyone can hate these guys after having them around for so long. I mean, such a person must be simply incapable of developing attachments to other human beings.I heart cockComment

Goldberg is an asshat and Rogan is fuckwad. I am capable of developing attachments to other humans, but just because they are there all the time doesn't mean I have to grow fond of them, it actually makes me despise them more. Goldberg is just a buffoon, I don't hate him, he just says stupid shit all the time. sometimes it is unintentionally funny, so that is good. Rogan is the one that really grinds my gears, he is just so biased and unprofessional.
When Florian is on, I feel like "why isn't he on everytime?" he is much much better than Rogan IMO.2012: +19.33

Rogan is a bit annoying lately. Everybody has always said it, but he seems to be getting worse. I really hate how he is such a critic and acts like all fighters are dumb.

He is dodging at least 30% of Yagin's punches here, only 70% are getting through, he hasn't landed any shot of his own, but that is the true definition of technique." he does this ridiculously biased thing in at least half the fights. Then he is uses all the 10thp names for regular moves which annoys the shit out of me personally, though I understand that it doesn't annoy everyone (though it does annoy almost everyone that trains). And like you said, he acts like the fighters are just idiots and don't know what needs to be done to win... my favorite is when he goes "X needs to just go crazy here, that is his only shot" Yeah, let's see you go crazy after fighting for 14 minutes, and hey why not get concussed and KO'd since your are going to lose a decision anyway.2012: +19.33

I like goldie. He seems like a decent guy. He probably doesn't know the names of all the techniques but he gets his job done.
Rogan is ok with me as well. I think he is critical of the fighters a lot but I think rogan knows his shit. He's a national tae kwon do champ, former kickboxer and black belt in bjj.1 unit = 300 $Comment

I'd liken it to the Jordan Breen show. It went on successfully as a one man band for a long time and it was fine that way. He doesn't really NEED Greg Savage. But now that Breen has someone aside from his callers to converse with and bounce his ideas off of I think it brings a whole new energy to the enterprise.
If Rogan was just sitting there by himself doing everything, it would be fine I'm sure, but I would just like it nearly as much. It wouldn't have the same energy.I heart cockComment

I dont want to hear dumb shit and stupid cliches , I just want them to tell me whats going on. I dont need to hear "ITS ALL OVER!" every time a fight is over, I can see that it is with my own eyes. I also dont need the other one hyping everything he can think of, playing ring doctor, and telling me something "IS IN REALLLLL DEEEP" I just cant stand them.
