It seems to be a good season thus far. How did you have that fight scored before Lil' Tyson got KOd?

I disagree. I think they based the pick off the assumption that his cardio wasn't total shit, and that his overall game wouldn't suck balls.

But 5'9" against 6'6"? Why put him against someone with so much reach on him?

His cardio was terrible. After the first round he was so tired all he was doing was diving for takedowns and going nowhere with them just like before. Someone has to go against the 6'6 fighter on the other team, though. Why not the guy with decent looking takedowns and heavy ground and pound? It's not Jones' fault they found out after they announced the matchup that the guy didn't have the cardio to do much of anything.

He had more success standing than he did wrestling as I recall. He landed some good punches standing, but every time he went to clinch he got turned around and almost every time he went for takedowns he ended up on the bottom or ended up getting swept.

I agree. Which is why I think his game plan was stupid. Or at that he should've adjusted his game plan as it became obvious that he wasn't going to be able to just outwrestle his opponent.

I don't think they realized how good Luke was with his TDD and his slickness in the grappling department. I think Jones figured it would be one of those fights where the stocky powerful "wrestler" would be able to easily drag the tall lanky striker to the ground and work a decent top game.
