Pretty sure Sean Sherk is retired. It's been too long. He's been saying for a while that as long as "his injuries are healed up he's coming back . . . probably sometime this summer." But I pretty much don't believe it now.

Honestly, I think he realizes that he's gotten older and the division has passed him by. He'd rather go out on a win (even though most people don't think he won that fight).

Weird seeing Arlovski fighting at 170

I laughed at this one. You don't post bets much anymore but you post some funnies. On a serious note I think Arlovski can win this. AJ is a big guy but Arlovski is probably bigger. It should be interesting to see how he performs against him. According to wiki Andre weighs about 247 pounds. AJ started at F'in 170. It's just too funny. Think he will be able to outgrapple Arlovski?

Another little thing I remember is an article I read about a Jon Jones tweet. He said he was jealous of the amount of time Greg Jackson was spending with Andre Arlovski. Maybe we will see a new and improved Arlovski. He isn't a bad fighter and hes been doing well recently. Obviously he hasn't been fighting top 10 guys or anything but he is still winning. With the size advantage he should have I will probably throw a unit down on him if he is a decent dog. I expect him to be at least a small dog but who knows. He is a heavyweight fighting a former 170 pounder.

Thoughts on Dollar/Lowe and Branch/Filho?

I thought Filho had retired until I saw him here. I don't know what to expect from him. I can still remember when he showed up high to fight Chael Sonnen. He is a good fighter but I would guess Branch is the guy at the top of his game if either one of them is in this fight. I just checked Sherdog and Norman Paraisy beat him. I don't think he is anything special. He also has a loss to 12 and 16 fighter Jackson Mora. I looked over JAckson Moras record and he has been beaten by a few guys with 2-5 fights. That was in 2011. Ronny Markes beat him in 2011. He isn't really that great. He is just a smothering wrestler/grappler though he is good at what he does. After all that he fights to a draw with Satoshi Isshi and TKO's Murilo Rua. The Rua win is his best performance if you go by just his record. Issi is a really good Judoka but that is a grappler versus grappler battle. Now that I think of it that is what Branch is as well, a grappler. I think this fight could come down to wrestling. I don't get the impression that Filhos that great striker but Branch is no Peter Aerts so who knows. I started out making a case against Filho but who knows, maybe he can win. He's the better grappler of the two. Maybe I will play him...it could be worth it to check out his other fights and see if he looks stoned.

I know Waylon Lowe is a strong stocky wrestler that is hard to take down. Lentz was losing to him two rounds to zero going into the third of their fight according to Sherdog. Cameron looks like a skinny guy in his sherdog picture. He also has a few chokes, a flying triangle choke to boot. Usually you have to be skinny to pull off one of those. I looked over Cameron Dollars record and all of his wins since 2010 have been against guys with 5-15 total fights and losing or close to losing records. He has been finishing them all though and hes been doing it with submissions. Lowes last loss was against Lentz by choke. I don't know here. Lowe will probably be the favorite but I will play him if he is a dog.

Igor Gracie is also fighting Richard Patishnock.

Gracie is obviously a high level black belt in jiu jitsu. I noticed he competes a lot in No gi and has won titles there. That should translate better to MMA. Patishnock is 25 years old and he had his first amateur fight in 2010. So he started MMA when he was about 22. I don't know what he did before then. That could be the deal breaker in this one. If he had no fighting experience before I will bet Igor over him because Igor would have a much better base as well as more experience in MMA and against better competition. Ok I found a better database for Patishnock. It turns out his amatuer MMA career goes back to 2007. So hes been fighting MMA since he was 18 or so....

Well I can't find Patishnocks gym listed but I think he is fighting out of New Jersey. Patishnock has not fought in 11 months due to Hurricane Sandy. Ok time for a shower.
